    Autometer A/F gauge question

Well it's not ideal, but you can still get some use out of it. Since the gauge was free, just pick up an aftermarket O2 sensor and install it. You will probably want a heated sensor, especially if you have headers. But what I would recommend for tuning purposes is use a digital voltmeter and...

    Autometer A/F gauge question

Dave, I agree that the O2 sensor feedback and correction with EFI will cause dancing on the gauge. But the dancing is also caused by fluctuations in timing (spark walk) as well as differences in the mixture from cylinder to cylinder. I can turn off the closed loop O2 feedback on my GN with the...

    Autometer A/F gauge question

#1 - If your narrow band O2 sensor is working properly, and the mixture is in the right ballpark for 14.7:1 stoich ratio, all you will see on the gauge is the LED bouncing wildly between rich and lean. #2 - If the miture is too rich or too lean, then the LED's will go to one end of the scale...

    Autometer A/F gauge question

Honestly, that guage really won't tell you a whole lot. But it will look really cool, especially at night. I had one in my GN mounted in the A-pillar pod. The ricer dudes loved it. If you want to get some meaningfull air/fuel ratio data, you will need a wide band oxygen sensor with data...

    mopar sound

It depends on how you define 'coolest sound'. My Dart has 2-1/2" pipes, a pair of Summit turbo mufflers and turndowns in front of the axle. Simple and cheap, yet effective. It does tend to resonate a bit at idle if you are not moving more than 5mph or so. And it tends to set off car alarms in...

Since we can't attach a .wav file to a post (Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip), any suggestions on a place that will host all these sound clips permanently??

    Exhausted Demon Frustration

Not to sound like an a$$hole, but are you sure those TTI headers are for an a-body? This is the first time I have ever heard of someone having a problem installing them. And if you throw do them away, throw them in my direction.

What do you use for header gaskets?

My Doug's Headers came with thick white paper (asbestos??) gaskets. No leaks at all. I was going try and order another set directly from Doug's whenever I get the stroker motor installed.

    Hedman Header Installation Help Needed

I had the same problem with my Thorley headers. In fact, I've been running them without the inside bolt on the #2 cylinder for several months now. I might try your C-clamp idea. Also, I learned that carburetor studs are the same size as those bolts. So I am using them on the outside bolts holes...

C'mon guys. You need to take that thing on a road trip to break in the engine. Just head east on I-10 to Houston and we'll go tear up the streets. Those ricer punks on Westhiemer won't know what hit 'em! :D
