    Carb conundrum

Why yes. I believe you covered that in about every perceivable way. Nice work! :D

    Carb conundrum

Do you have a TQ to put that gasket against? I wonder if the throttle bores stretch to the outer limits of the spread bore gasket. Maybe try and line a square bore gasket up to the bottom of the TQ and see how much of the gasket you would need to trim up to just uncover the throttle bores. Then...

    Carb conundrum

Same as if it were on the factory CI manifold or another spread bore manifold. The notches and troughs between the port and the throttle bores allow for vacuum to pass from a sideways perspective. On an open spacer or open manifold, the ports are just exposed from the bottom instead.

    Carb conundrum

Well.....the Holley/Demon Street Demon looks like a TQ and bolts onto a square bore intake. If I were to ever stray from my Holley, this would probably be the first carb I would try.

    Demon carbs

I had a 750 when they first came out. I kept having weird stumble problems no matter what I did. After a while, I talked to their CS rep whom asked me to send it back to them. They sent me a new one and it was one of the most responsive carbs I have ever used. Apparently, some of the very first...

    Edelbrock AFB vs AVS

The DP is a 650, stock, 68/72 jets. The old AFB I had was a 600, the 1406 model IIRC. In all honesty, I could probably do a super tune on the DP and live with it, but I think that a super tune on an AVS would get me superior performance on all aspects. So, here's what I got: 360 .020...

    Edelbrock AFB vs AVS

Hmm. Avenger Bog. I have not heard that, but thanks for the tip. With this engine, I have tried the AFB and the DP. The AFB seemed to have more snap when you hit the throttle, but the DP has a stronger WOT pull. When I took the AFB apart, I noticed that some of the internals weren't just a...

    Edelbrock AFB vs AVS

Anyone have much experience with these two carbs? Was thinking that the Holley DP is a bit too much for the street and might swap over to one of the Edelbrocks. The "Thunder" AVS is $70-80 more than the AFB, but is the performance THAT much better? Would one of the Holley Street Avengers be better?

    650 or 750 cfm. carb??

I use either 93 or 94 octane. Is your carb and electric choke or manual choke?

    650 or 750 cfm. carb??

How is your carb set up if you don't mind me asking? The 360 in my Duster sounds fairly close to yours, but with the 600 Eddy AFB I have, it has a nasty ping when it gets up in the revs. I have a 650 Holley double pumper that turns the car into an powerhouse, though the AFB is much easier to drive.

    Help with carb tuning

Hey all. I have a 71 Duster with a mild 360. It has about 9.8:1 c.r. mildly ported J heads, a Lunati Voodoo cam with 268/276 adv. duration, 226/234 duration @ .050" and .494/.513" lift, Eddy Performer RPM intake, stock 340 HP manifolds and 2-1/4" exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. I have two...
