    dont forget to check the pawn shops for good deals on tools. still using a good quality DA I picked up 20 years ago at one for $49. A couple new pads, replaced a bearing or two, routine maintenance stuff...its still working great.

    McMaster Carr Mcmaster.com Nice quality burrs, good prices. Picked up 3 long and 4 short ones for iron. Worked excellent for porting. For longer shank burrs I reduced rpms if it starts to wobble.

    making it a "k member holder" engine run stand simplifies the whole thing IMO. just pick up the load on 4 arms of the K and some kind of support on the bell/tail. I just detached the radiator section and slid the whole unit complete with brakes and suspension under the car after break in.

    $15 box fan did the job for me. neutral flywheel with correct flexplate sandwiched. Washer/spacer btwn bell and block. Summertime break-in plus a few hours with no heat problems.

    Mines more of a K frame holder than engine stand. Its hanging on the wall of the shop when not in use, mostly out of the way.

    In the 70s painted a couple dozen in a 12x24 single garage w 30 gal compressor. Not hard to do, you just have to plan your moves. This was In central ny, Syracuse area. Now in a 20x30 it's cake. Plus I'm in Arizona, so...:D

    A couple inches of spray foam will seal and insulate. Less leaks in the envelope makes it easier to maintain temp. with less energy. With your climate a small heat pump might do the job and give the benefit of summer cooling.

    Always check lubrication on anything from HF. Its usually ok but extra rarely hurts. Check nuts and bolts too. As should be done with any new "tool".

    Basic harbor freight wheel dollies, mine are black. Had em for over a decade. Work great on smooth and clean floors.

    I like it simple Bill! :thumbsup: Shouldn't be more $ than the winches...plus they'd be more useful imo. I did my most recent "lift" with heavy duty ratchet straps. Up went great. Down was careful and slow.

    the thumbwheel adjustable chrome one in the middle. also called a spud wrench. light duty version plumbing tool. main use for me was for the big plastic nut on a toilet tank and larger sink drain nuts.

    80 volt Kobalt blower and string trimmer. Great stuff, got em on sale months ago for $88 each. Blower is awesome, easy to use. Trimmer isn't light but balances well. 2 batteries, 2 chargers included.

    Steck mig light. Haven't tried it yet. My issue is light coming in from behind. Found a leather hood type that solves that problem with a good lense assembly. Just had to add foam padding for better fit with glasses on.

    keep the rpms down on the longer shanks and they wont chatter nearly as easy.
