Where would one get a 17/64 box wrench?

Where do you get the rebuild parts? I'd do the same, but I don't know where to get the parts.

Looking to get a welder for the house

I have a Lincoln PowerMIG 180. It's been great so far, but I don't do cages. I would go bigger if I were you. Seems like Miller is more popular these days, but I got a really good show special deal at the Winternationals one year + the Lincoln Money Matters rebate offer on my welder. It...

How do you sort your tools

Yes, but the nice about Metric is this. 10 mm too big, but 8 mm to small. Well, duh. It's obviously a 9 mm. I don't have to do any damn fractions in my head to figure what size I need. I can do the fractions, but at least with Metric I don't have to. Just saying!

How do you sort your tools

Sorting tools? For one, I keep the non-U.S.A. tools away from my U.S.A. tools. I also keep the metrics away from the S.A.E. Other than that, I sort it by size.

    Cylinder Head Flow Bench?

Do a Google search for David Vizard. He writes tech books on porting, flow, carbs, and more. He may have a tutorial or two.

    Good angle grinder, corded...

I have a couple of Milwaukee 4 1/2" grinders and a couple black HF grinders. I hate changing disks so it's nice to have multiple grinders. The Milwaukee's have been great!! The HF's are OK so as long as you don't stress it too much, otherwise you kill them quick. I already killed one of them.

auto dark welding helmets what U use

I have a Lincoln Viking helmet and I have the same issue. Hard to see. I blame it mostly on my dark garage and being blind as a bat (i'm very near sighted). I really have to light up my work piece so I can even see where to strike the arc. It's just not always so easy to bring a light to the...

    Recommend a Welder

I have a Lincoln PowerMIG 180C - Go to your NHRA races, get a discount, then look into the Money Matters program from Lincoln to get a rebate. I think after everything was said and done it cost me between 700 to 900 bucks (can't remember since it was years ago). Sounds like quite a bit of money...

Harbor Freight - Gems and Junk

Good to know. What have you used it for? What kind of jobs have you thrown at it? I think the newer models (the silver vs the orange presses) are all bolted now. Check them out: 12 Ton Press (Item#: 60604) 20 Ton Press (Item#: 60603) With the coupons I have, the 20 ton press...

Harbor Freight - Gems and Junk

I have some sweet coupons for either the 12 ton press ($100.00) or the 20 ton press ($155.00) and can't decide on which. I keep wondering if the 20 ton is over kill for my needs and if I should go for the smaller one to save some dough. Any opinions? What would I use it for? Well, I was...

Harbor Freight - Gems and Junk

My Harbor Freight Luck... The good: Pneumatic Angle Grinder Step drill bits Jigsaw 1/2" Variable Speed Drill The bad: Black 4.5" Grinders - burnt out in less than a day Tube Notcher - bushing block made out of pot metal and saw rod is not aligned Pneumatic body saw - makes noise but doesn't...

Harbor Freight - Gems and Junk

I have some HF .030 MIG wire in my Lincoln. I don't like it. The arc isn't the same as Lincoln wire. It just doesn't spark up the same. Seems to burn quicker. The beads don't look right. Since I'm not using it for making anything that's life threatening then it's no big deal, but I'm not buying...

MIG welding problem finally solved after years

The inside door should indicate the correct polarity. I forget which is which, but there DC+ and DC- (or whatever, I forget). Anyway, it depends whether you are flux core welding or gas welding. I see that you did buy it used, but hopefully the sicker on the inside of the door is intact. The...
