    early A various question?

I know when you put later a body pedal's in an early A they end up real close to the steering column, but they do work. Put them in a Canadian 66 Valiant, with a later a body 4 speed and bell housing. I had to flatten the seam from fire wall to floor pan for clearance.

    Locked Out

You might be able to put the alignment tool in part way up to the reverse rod. and have someone hold it and just see how far off the first second shift is out...

    Locked Out

Miss aligned shifter or a real sloppy worn shifter will do the same thing. Do you have that little alignment tool, it looks like an L about 3 inch's long and about 3/32 round. Even a old drill bit will work too to align shifter. Usually the trouble is getting alignment tool it in the slots with...

    Stuck in 3rd gear

I'd say that the shifter is real sloppy or the rods might be adjusted ok but the bushings are sloppy or ovaled out. If the trans is tight, its got to be in the shifter linkage. When you shift try to pull it out of second go over to the left and follow the H pattern rather than jamming the...

    Clutch fork help

The length of the clutch fork on my 65 Cuda, is 12 5/8's. This is a factory 4 sp car. This is also the exact length of spare one I have, and I believe it was from a 73 318 Duster but not sure. (I have a box of spare trans stuff and it is just all thrown in, and of course I didn't label anything!)

Warren, I just measured my Z bar and it is 7 inchs wide on the button. It is from a 65 Cuda. I don't know if these are narrower than the 67 up A bodies.

    Flywheel help

Lead69, I believe all Chrysler Flywheels are cast iron. The actuall part no. for the flywheel you listed came up with a Big Block flywheel but that is all I could find. Merry Christmas, and I hope that helps you.

    Flywheel help

As per Mr. Mopartech, that is a good flywheel to match up to any crank with a bit of work. Thanks to Mr. Mopartech!!

magnum 360/ A-833 4 speed combo. Not fitting together.

I just put my original 65 Cuda trans up to my 360 crate and I had to cut the input shaft by an 1/8 of an inch, even had to get a special pilot bushing as the hole in the crank was larger than an old style bushing.
