I have the QA1 small ball joint upper arms on my Dart. I was able to get up to 6 degrees of caster with them.

    DIY Alignment

Those just might work, good thinking. I just used some 12" floor tiles, with grease between them. Worked just fine and cost me like $4.00

anyone use this front sway bar on their 67-72 abody?

I'm a little late to this party but I'll throw my two cents in. Yes, I have that monster Hotchkiss sway bar on my '68 Dart, and I love it. Don't really care what it looks like, I works great and the car is a blast to drive. I also have the PST 1.03 T-bars, and together its the best thing I've...

9" drum spindle with tubular UCA'S.

And another thought. If you're willing to spend that kinda money on upper arms, why not upgrade to disk brakes while you're at it. Do you really want to be driving around with 9" drums?

9" drum spindle with tubular UCA'S.

Why do you have to have the upper arms with rod ends? I'm using the QA1 tubular arms with the small ball joint. Works great, but they have poly bushings, not rod ends.

    Hotchkis vs USCartools subframe connectors

Exactly what I was thinking. And if course to weld in the uscartool ones you have to take your seats and carpet out . I built my own, kind of similar to what the Hotchkiss ones look like, and all the welding was on the front and rear subframes So I didn't have to pull my carpet out.

Steering coupler box or universal joint

I just used the one from Bergman, when I installed my borgeson steering box. A lot simpler and no messing around cutting your steering shaft and drilling it for new roll pins. Are you installing a borgeson box?

    BORGESON steering box

Todays response from Borgeson. "Sounds like you are going to need to send in a proof of purchase so we can service the box if it is under 3 years old, You can call us to handle it a little faster if you want. 860-482-8283" Right, the box is only 3 weeks old, and I have to pull it out, send it...

    BORGESON steering box

Right, but it centered just fine with my old leaky original box, same idler arm, just added a new pitman arm when I did the swap.

    BORGESON steering box

Right, its quiet, and I'm hoping putting some miles on it will loosen things up, but with 6 degrees caster it should center on its own.

    BORGESON steering box

Ok I think I can officially say that I'm not to happy with my Borgeson box right now. Overall feeling is decent, All the center slop is gone, which is what was bugging me most about my original box. However the borgeson box has a problem with returning to center after a turn. I returns "some"...

    steering wheel - alignment

I believe the steering wheel is keyed and will only go on one way. I know my '68 Dart is that way cause I just had it off.

    BORGESON steering box

Well, guess I lucked out. Just finished up my install this morning. No hiss, nice and quiet, and dang it feels nice, no slop in the steering at all. Feel is nice and firm. Only had it on a short ride for a few minutes. Need to get back to it in the morning and readjust my tow-in. Then take a...

    BORGESON steering box

Well , managed to get my old box out today, and the new box is bolted in. (more to do tomorrow). The only thing that seems a little weird to me in the alignment of the shaft coming out the top of the box (to steering column) Seems to be angled towards the drivers side of the car. Is this a...

    BORGESON steering box

I am running Doug’s headers, and I had to do a fair amount of massaging the tubes to make clearance with the stock box so I’m not afraid to do a little more.

    BORGESON steering box

Just ordered mine from Bergman auto craft Sunday. I’m hoping it shows up by the weekend. Anyway that gives me a few days to get the old box out so I can slap the new one right in when it shows up. Can’t wait to get it installed and go for a spin. Also I think I’ll take the opportunity while the...

The QA1 arms are nice, I have them on My Dart. Great for getting a better alignment with more caster built in. They are available in small or large ball joint.
