So aftermarket front drum can still explode? I was reading somewhere that factory drum explodes arouns 13000rpm and A&A billet steel gets deformed at over 30000 but does not explode... I have expired csr carbon fiber shield that I could put on if needed, should I after all these upgrades?

So how is longevity of aluminium drums? Do they get wear marks from steels inside? Whats your experience?

You should focus on stuff not exploding for your own safety, so billet front drum and low band apply vb would be mandatory I guess. The rest is really not must have if you are willing to look into the transmission more often.

Yes there is engine braking in manual low and car shifts good in all gears. The only problem is reverse which works great when cold and gets worse with trans temp. I tried two servos, the steel one from transgo and factory one. There is zero difference.

Frankly I didn’t check, axles I got were exactly half inch longer than the ones that came with this housing. The shorter ones had some spline damage from minimal spider gears engagement.

Longer axles fully cured the problem.

I know the differential is all good, has new gears and bearings also. Not the 1st one I built. I am guessing that spider gears are not engaged with shorter axles and sure grip clutches make the wheels spin when lifted. Can this be it?
