    redneck kick down linkage

I'll check it all out later in the week. It's too damn wet and cold for me at the moment lol! I've always read the the little "u" rod is supposed to be verticle, so I wanted to confirm that it's ok. It does not seem to shift funny, but I also haven't driven it much. Had to order a pressure line...

    redneck kick down linkage

I sold my gmc to buy this ramcharger. Proof of rebuilt motor and tranny to boot! For some reason though when the kick down linkage was reinstalled whomever did it didn't install the correct carburetor bracket. As you can see in the photos, the return spring pulls the linkage too far foward. I'm...

    What options for O/D behind a S/6?

I would just put a 318/OD in it with GM TBI and HEI conversion. She will have all the acceleration she need with the efficiency of the efi and be as easy to work on as having a carburetor. With that, there's no reason not to see 25-28mpg on the hwy and about 18-20 in town.

4 speed or 4 speed OD?

If it's just a fun cruiser, go with the OD for cruising pleasure and mileage

I don't follow? If you don't drop the t case the angle will be steeper than stock

Primary vehicle down need help with Dakota

4.7 tranny I know is a beast of its own form. So I'm gonna say yes, it has to be from a 4.7 as for the lift. You need to make sure all your shaft angles are correct before you proceed. You may have the drive shaft at too steep an angle and that's why they keep breaking. It's my understanding...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

Will you post pics after you start bolting the parts together? I've never had the opportunity to see how tranny adapters work. Aside from the aluminum plate. That part explains itself lol I'm guessing the red plate is a flexplate/flywheel spacer? Please forgive my ignorance of the subject

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

The a5 something or another Mopar od tranny is supposed to fit with a minor crossmember mod. I'll try and dig up the thread I saw today and post the link here for you. Whether it ends up helping or taking up space, I don't know. I'm gonna try though

Shift kits.. do you really need one????

Ditch the holier than thou attitude and you might get better responses *** wipe. I was hoping to open this thread and learn a thing or two, but that only came from a couple posts. Real shame.

    1987 A727 Trans Question

As long as the kit comes with everything, I don't see why that wouldn't fix your problem. I've seen "rebuilt" trannys on cl for $400-800

    gear ratio help!

Here's an ignorant question for everyone that I've forgotten the answer to. Without pulling the diff cover, how do you calculate your gear ratio? Jack up the rear end and spin the tire, ect. I don't remember the details

    904 or 727 ????

That's what I've been told by several people that put them in a bodies. I've never done it personally. So all I have is hear say.
  28. MoparDaddy

    904 or 727 ????

It depends on whether or not you wish to spend more money and how much. The 727 will require swelling the trans tunnel, the 904 requires a balanced converter
