Contact the police. This is stolen property, you have receipts that indicate they have it. I see no reason why the police can't help you get this engine back if it's still on the premises. Small claims courts can come later to get your $3k back. But get the engine first.

I literally can't fathom the thought of learning this stuff without the internet.

I never even changed my own oil a year ago. Now, I've done engine swaps, carb rebuild, brake swaps, electronic ignition, etc. there's a lot of knowledge online. I learned by reading forums and not being afraid to make mistakes.

I went flat black as a temporary color until real paint. The plan is for a burnt orange, like the PT Cruiser color. In the mean time, I love the look I've got.

I work at a self storage facility, and so I deal with people not "using" their stuff way too often. If a chair is not sat in, it is not a chair. If a car is not driven, it is not a car.

Just got home, this being my first show I've been to. Gotta say, I'm hooked. LOL Here's some pics I took at the show. I recognized Bad440 and Saetun's cars in the A-body area. My kids are probably as hooked as me, I'm thinking. My wife even fell in love with the pink Challenger SRT.
