    I run the Evans and it has been very good to me, I agree look at the air flow and radiator setup. I have a aluminum rad and 19" 7 blade clutch fan on mine and it does not get above 190 degrees

    I used the Hayden #2947. it is tight and a pain to mount, but fit fits nicely Put radiator shroud over water pump towards engine, enough to get access to bolts Put a piece of cardboard against radiator to protect it. Install fan and clutch then install shroud

    There is a tool that will grip the pulleys to take off. The alternator must be taken apart, the rear case to press the new pully on. You can not press the pully on with the case, because it will damage the bearings in the end case. I found out the hard way. Best to my knowledge the power...

    You may have better gas than we do here in the mid west, the better the gas the better it will run. It is hard finding even 93 here, and all the additives, who know what.

    I think that with aluminum heads that 10 to 1 on 93 gas is the base. That is what I use and have not had any problems, since gas is changing all the time.

    Procomp /Speedmaster CNC big block heads

    Not big block, but Mike at MRL, put the Procomp heads on my 408. So far they have been working well. The engine made 550 hp at 5800 rpm. I guess time will tell.

    Camshaft to Small???

    How spunky? I feel it is a little small, you are going to get a lot of different options. My choice would be a roller hydraulic cam or a solid roller if you want to tinker some. I like cams in the 240 degree range at .050" and lift in the upper .550" Good luck
