What got you hooked on A-Bodies anyway?

The Seal base just down the strand from North Island. We were both stationed at the Naval Station but Coronado was convenient since we live in Imperial Beach. This pic was in 85.

    Automobile History via VIN?

Car Fax will give you history on the car but not prior owners. After 9-11 getting ownership information via the VIN is next to impossible. It's privacy information that states will not disclose except only for law enforcement purposes.

    Value question... 72 Dart Roller

That rear end pic is of a truck. You can buy /6 nice drivers under 5k so I would think maybe 2K max for this. If it were a 70-71 maybe a bit more.

    Fender Tag Questions...

I do not have C17 in my book but it looks to be an interior code. The scheduled production date is on the fender tag. 2nd line up, next to the sequence number. Its a 3 digit code. Month then day. Oct-Dec used letters. A01 = Oct 1st, B01 = Dec 1st, C01 = Dec 1st. the rest are 1-9 as the calender...

    Howd you start likeing mopar?

It's all my wifes fault! I was a Chevy guy when I met her in 1984, we were both in the Navy based in Philadelphia at the time and neither one of us had a car. We got married in 85 just before she was transfered to San Diego. She was in charge of getting the apartment and transportation while I...

Went to a all Mopar show here in Maine today. PICS

Like the title says, nice Mopar show today. Some serious iron showed up. Only a handful of A-bodies compared to a sea of B-bodies. We must be to busy driving them. 80 plus pics, the 300 SRT was my fav. Enjoy. http://www.kirleyworks.com/Darlings2010/

    electric washer switch??

Did you check your wiper switch to see if it supports a washer? If it pushes in and pops back out it will likely have the terminals unused on the back for the washer. If it does not support a washer it might be easy to find a used one that does just as cheap as Radio shack stuff and it would be...

All Mopar wrecking yard in SoCal

Mark, good luck and wish you well. I visited your yard many times as a young Navy kid back in the 80's thru the early 90's, and bought lots of parts from you. Ever get a buyer for those two 340 GTS verts you had? I know it had to be hundreds of cars ago, but being a Mopar guy you probably...

    trailer queens

Every chance I get, every where on weekends and week nights if I go out. Not to work though, I use a company truck for that. Put almost 200 miles on it over the weekend. Not looking forward to winter but it is when I get most of my work done on them.

    Oil for breakin...

I use a good straight 30W, plus Comp cams break in fluid. Changed it out after and run Valvoline VR1 10-30 which still has plenty of zinc.

8-3/4 Diff. Gasket. (what application to search?)

I agree, RTV is all you need, clean the surfaces, run a medium bead all the way around. Let it set up for 30 Min's or so and bolt it together. Been doing this way for years without a problem.

Going back to "Old School" exhaust.

Damn, those manifolds look familiar! I don't think a bolt on system is available unless you want a Y-pipe and a single pipe out the rear. A good local shop can bend you up what you need at a reasonable price. My Duster is running a 318 with 2 1/4 pipes through Dynomax super turbos. Great...

    San Diego car show tomorrow!

I used to be a member of the old San Diego Mopars club back in the late 80's and early 90's. Used to put on a really good annual show each. Nice to see there is a club still putting on shows. This is the first year we finally have a Mopar only show up here in Maine since I moved back here in 95...
