I have 3" TTI and run 3" all the way through an X pipe, then into 8" long cherrybombs, then Flowmaster 40's into dumps. I think it sounds perfect. The cherry bombs really cut down on the drone and mellowed out the sound.

I like my dumps. They point at the rear tire from in front of the axle. Do not point in front of the tire incase something lets loose inside the motor.

I have 3" flow 40's on my 416 fish into dumps. I didn't like the raspyness and had the shop add a 8" (called 14" cause of the ends) 3" cherry bombs before the flows and it sounds perfect to me.

I am building an Indy headed RB to put in my 71 drag Demon. The only headers that seem that they will work are the hedman 75161. Problem is hedman tech support hasn't returned my inquiry on if those will actually work on the engine / car. My inner fenders are long gone.

My ex has header bolts and hangars back by the mufflers before the dumps. Works OK.

I am not trying to argue with OMM but my TTI step into 3" collectors, Jegs or Summit (cannot remember) X pipe kit, 3" x 8" cherrybombs before flowmaster 40's into dumps at the axle picked up ET and speed over open collectors and to me sound perfect. 3" all the way.

Get a big sheet of cardboard and lay it on the ground in your garage under the headers like TTI says to do. You have moisture coming up through the slab (or gravel surface) and that is where the rust is coming from.

They also advise you to put some cardboard under your car when in the garage/shop so the moisture from the concrete doesn't rust them up. I also "oil leaked" onto mine from my breather hose.
