I can't say for sure about the backspace, but I think you will need 4" if you're going with 8" rims. Also, that's the wrong bolt pattern for your car, unless something has been changed. You need 5 on 4" bolt pattern, aka SBP. If you would like a little research tool...

Also AMC, and some small Jeeps use 4.5" rims... And some of the early Toyota trucks when they were 5 bolt.

I have a wheel caliper, but it would be easy to make one as stated above. They are designed to work with the tire mounted.

Why couldn't this be done, I remember somebody doing this years ago. Could the SBP drums be drilled for BBP in order to be able to switch to 15 inch rims? Thanks
