    Strip intake bolt hole

I have had to do this to my m1 single plane. The PO had two stripped bolt holes. Helicoils are easy and a very good fix. I duct taped the intake opening closed before hand then vacuumed it all up after the fact, remove tape - good to go.

Help me get the off-idle stumble out of my QF 750-AN Double Pumper

Maybe I missed it, but what intake is on that? I found my single plane M1 with my Holley 750 really liked a smaller shooter (31) and 50cc pump kit with the large brown cam... Before that I had a bad stumble off idle like you described I couldnt get rid of.

Tuning my 360 with a wideband.

I'll say this, I think I'm learning just how much weather has and influence on the a/f mixture, specifically humidity. Its been like 80+% relative humidity in the mornings here, and like 30% in the afternoons, I dropped my idle mixture down a bit and that seemed to help the lower rpm cruise #s...

Tuning my 360 with a wideband.

Thanks cracked. My air bleeds and IFRs are not currently adjustable.. its a pretty base model carb. But that's not to say I'm not afraid to drill and tap. to touch on the intake again, this would be correct for the air gap, correct? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-7577/overview/ I...

Tuning my 360 with a wideband.

right now I've got the brown cam and a 31 shooter, it seems to really want the large initial hump in the cam. I just drove it again and its quite a bit warmer out then this morning. It seemed to bump the a/f ration up quite a bit, so around 2-2.5k its now in the 15.5+ range and in the 3k+ its...

408 tuning with a Wideband sensor

I've thought about this too, I have my o2 sensor behind the collector flange also, same thing, couldn't bring myself to tap my TTis. If it was leaking outside air into the exhaust wouldn't that cause for a faulty lean reading instead of rich?? that what I would think.

408 tuning with a Wideband sensor

I know i'm learning a lot!! waiting to start my own wideband thread to see if I can just figure it out with all the info in this one :) good job!

    PCV Valve 'buzzing'

I believe the breather on the opposite valve cover is good. I say this because I can pull the valve out of its valve cover and it still buzzes. The lines are tight. I'll try another valve, i'm thinking one with a lighter spring rate.. I wasn't sure if there was something specific to these or...

    PCV Valve 'buzzing'

Okay, maybe I should reword this :) What do you guys and girls run on your small block street cars for a PCV?
  11. B

    PCV Valve 'buzzing'

Oh yeah, the ball is free. That's what the buzzing is. At idle that valve is constantly opening and closing really fast. But that seems to be leading to the PCV valve pulling in enough 'air' to lean up the carb.. Not sure it this is correct or not..
  12. B

    PCV Valve 'buzzing'

Should my PCV valve be 'buzzing'? The check ball that's in it seems to vibrate back and forth and it appears to be causing a bit of a vacuum leak. When I manually plug the valve my o2 meter drops down almost a whole point richer, when I let it loose it jumps back up. I read there are...

408 tuning with a Wideband sensor

I would def. take a 10* bushing if you're going to make a bunch for that price.

    Fuel System Help

I know, tell me about it. That's right after I bought it. It does not look like that anymore... The PO had all the wiring 'professionally' rewired and the fuse box ended up under the hood.. This is a picture of it part way through putting the engine bay back together..

got it, thanks. So it looks like I need a different fuel rail to be able to even run a return line eh?

    Fuel System Help

So bare with me, I'm new to this :) I bought my Duster and it had and electric fuel pump mounted on the rear frame plumbed inbetween the existing lines of the gas tank and the origianl metal line that runs up to the engine bay. I'm not sure what fuel pump it is, but its leaking, and has always...

    Jetting a Holley

I'm back on this thing now that the nice weather's come back! and I've got and o2 sensor hooked up. Looks like i'm certainly running rich at idle ~12 and 13 on the sensor, it seems overall rich except when I get my bog off of idle, then I go real lean, like up in the 16 area, if I get it to...

    carb tuning help

I've got the same ingnition setup and have spoken with Don at FBO, in fact he talked me out of the 10* bushings because I have a vacuum advance on my pro billit dizzy. He advised me to run that off of manifold vacuum so that it would pull the initial timing way up but drop off by the time the...

What A/F Gauge do you run

Thanks guys. I went with the MTX-l from amazon with an xtra bung/plug and free shiping total was ~$170. I don't think i'm close enough for the narrow band and the ease and reviews of the MTX sold me. Plus, my father wanted to know what to get me for an xmas gift, so I told him he could kick...

Hey guys, I'm going to be getting an AF gauge and was wondering what you guys recommend from experience. My plan was to weld a bung in each exahaust tube and compare sides. I was thinking something like this : http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php thanks!

    Choosing the right carb

Sounds like most of you guys are leaning towards the 750. I understand that track times would be better with a larger carb, but this is a street only car. But it sounds like most think i'd be better off even on the low end with a 750? Sorry i'm new to this... My reasons for wanting to try a...
