The results of this poll indicate exactly why 70-71 grills are tougher to find and insanely expensive. Having said that, I'll stick with my '70 ;)

No takers, eh? You would think people restoring their cars would come across this very issue as the "washers" can't really be reused once taken off. BTW...Shameless *bump* ;)

*Bump* Btw, that pic was before I took the hinge off and therefore is the original washer. What I got at the hardware store was something similar, just something to keep the hinge wedged into place.

Here's a bump...Is this what you are looking for? I was never able to find them when I removed/reinstalled the hinges. I had to get creative and made a few trips to the hardware store for something similar. Unfortunately I don't have my car nearby and I don't recall what they were called...

One combo I never have seen on an A-Body is FY1 with a red bumblebee stripe...My fav. car growing up was Don Little's A/SA HEMI 'Cuda...I loved that look, just not sure if it would translate well to an A-Body...

Yeah, that black (TX9) Dart with the white stripe is sick!!!! With or without a vinyl top. I would definitely paint my Dart TX9 if all the sheet metal was just a tad straighter.lol

Well....Glad you asked.lol. It's taken 6+ years, but I'll be getting the Dart painted later this year. Instead of the usual high-impact colors, I've been gravitating towards a darker green (somewhere in between F6/F-8 )...Black vinyl top, black bumblebee stripe, etc. I agree 68383GTS...Too many...

That is definitely the underside of an E-Body shaker hood.

I like it...It's different. Reminds me of the Mopar Missile cars. It's cool because it goes well with the side molding and the indentation that runs from the fender to the quarter panel. If it were me and knowing it will cost just a little extra when repainted...I'd keep it for sure.
