How was your season, and what's planned for the winter?

Pacific Raceways 2010 Sportsman track champion (4 event wins out of 9)....Free racing next year! Wooo!

Opinion: Small motors more or less consistent than big motors?

Not quite the advantage of the clean tree in theory since you could be waiting for a while if the other car is considerably slower...While the slow car always has the lights come down at the same time (no waiting). Having said that, the good racers know how to block those things out and cut a...

Opinion: Small motors more or less consistent than big motors?

And the slower car always gets the clean tree, so it goes both ways.

Opinion: Small motors more or less consistent than big motors?

So many variables to consider to answer this...Being able to cut a light and drive the stripe goes a long way, but the car needs to show some signs of consistency. 3 sportsman track championships in 3 years at two different tracks later, I'd like to think that I proved that a slow car with a...

lol will that fit a slant six Andrew? ;) Edit: topfueldart and his brother are both very tough racers at Pacific Raceways...All-Mopar semifinal last Sunday. My '70 Dart, a '68 340 Dart, a '71 Challenger, and topfuelfueldart's brother's 340 '67 Dart!

    footbrake racers

Light up the pre stage bulb, then inch your way in with a rapid brake-no brake-brake -no brake rhythm until you light the stage bulb (This is done so you are as shallow as possible, and therefore know where you are in the lights every time for consistency). When both racers have staged, plant...

    NEED HELP!!! 9-Second Engine Setup?

Jeg Coughlin JR 10' Challenger drag pak

True, but in the Stock/Super Stock combo race a week earlier in Las Vegas he won two rounds with o-lights. Racing as many different cars as he does is what wreaks havoc on his consistency early in the season in his Sportsman cars. A few more races and he'll be fine.

Jeg Coughlin JR 10' Challenger drag pak

Jeg got smoked in the RT dept. first round in Stock at Pomona...He's got a lot of work to do. Knowing Jeg though, it won't be long.

How to get my car into 12 seconds?

Agreed...I'm a 21 year college student and I have trouble even affording my 17 second slant-six racing obsession (even though I have been pretty successful and have won a few thousand dollars) . I would have no life if I was able to get my car down to 12 seconds. Take my advice, run your car as...

Jeg Coughlin JR 10' Challenger drag pak

It was for a season...He just was never that competitive and canned it after a year. Jeggie is purely a driver...He will drive anything. He drove Harry Holton's AH car a few years back to a US Nationals class win. I doubt this new stunt will result in much more Mopar backing in the Jeg's...

Figuring out the weight distribution on all four tires too...Pretty sweet... Edit: I like how even the jacks are yellow.

    Post Abody Stock SuperStock Pics

My favorite A-Body car ever! The main reason I got interested in Mopars in the first place...Seeing this car tear up the D6/D7 tracks in the early 2000s was awesome. I still remember the first 8.60 pass in 2001 at the Mission Divisional. Hasn't been raced lately as Harry Holton hasn't been in...

    Ever won money?

Not all tracks give money out...But I would say that I have earned $1500 bracket racing my slant six Dart...Fun times.
