    Ideas for horn button emblem

Putting an aftermarket steering wheel in my 67 Dart. An old school chrome wheel with the plain round horn button. I would like to add an emblem to the horn button, either a fratzog (Dodge Delta) or "GT". I am thinking something around 1 1/2 to 2 inch's in diameter. Any ideas? Thanks Aaron

    Trunk mat material? Ideas?

Would like to put down some sound deadener and cover it with trunk mat material over the rear end hump in my 67 Dart convertible. Thinking of using the sliver stuff from home depot/menards then putting trunk mat over it. Is there someplace I can buy bulk trunk mat material that would match...

If it is like my 75 Duster had there is a relay looking thing over by the fuse box just unplug the wires there. Back in the day I used to just buckle the seat belts and tuck them into the seat.

Bench Seat Column Shift Vs Bucket Console Shift

Now that every new vehicle comes with bucket seats, I wish my Dart had a bench seat. I would kill to have a Duster like the one I had back in the late 80's (ok minus the rust and dents). It was a 75 Custom dark green with a white vinyl top(may have been a half top, don't remember)green bench...

    Modern seats and shoulder belts

I at first thought you guys were crazy replacing the seats, Wednesday went on a 40 mile cruise and my back and stomach still hurt, I'm hoping it was lifting a 100 lb pipe at work and not the seats. My problem is finding something that doesn't look too out of place in a convertible. If I win...

    kick panel speaker questions

Anybody have a set of these? http://www.classiccarstereos.com/product/Mopar-Kick-Panels/KMOP-67_6.html I bought a set and the passenger side has about a one inch gap along the bottom, just wondered if this is normal with these, or if I got it in wrong or what. Going cruising tonight and will...

    Modern seats and shoulder belts

I would second the reinforcement. I know from experience that a very sudden stop at 35 mph and 120 lb person can rip a bench seat out of the floor of a 67 Dart.

How To For Those Looking for Tips on Carpet Install

I did my carpet about 18 years ago. I originally trimmed the edges at the door and folded it over the pinch weld seam, my sill plates split after time, I don't know if it was because of the carpet being folded over the seam, so I am going to trim it level with the pinch weld and maybe stick it...

    Space Duster speaker location

Wish I still had the Duster, the other day I found the check that I paid for it with in '88...$275. 318, 3 speed, a little bit of rust and a bent front fender.

    Space Duster speaker location

Was thinking about my 75 Duster Custom I had in late 80's, it had the space Duster option(fold down back seat). I was trying to think were the stereo speakers were(had a Pioneer am/fm cassette). I'm thinking the door panels weren't butchered for speakers, and I don't recall having surface...

new armrest pad screws to short!

I feel for the OP. Hate it when I go to work on my car and am either short a screw or they are the wrong size, then I have to drive 1/2 hour(equals about 30 miles around here)to the nearest hardware store to spend less than a dollar.

    Stereo suggestions, thoughts, ideas?

I have looked some at custom autosound, but I am cheap, and haven't been able to justify the price, yet. I also don't want to many gizmos as I like the simplicity of old cars.

    plastic race seats

Not sure on drag strip sanctioning but most dirt track sanctioning bodies do not allow fiberglass or plastic racing seats, have to be aluminum.

    Stereo suggestions, thoughts, ideas?

I saw your thread earlier so I will give you the credit for the rear speaker location. I had thought about gutting the 8 track and hinging the front and putting an am/fm cd player in the housing, but just can't bring myself to do it. aaron

    Stereo suggestions, thoughts, ideas?

I'm sure there is other forums I could ask this on, but you guys won't beat me down because I don't know the answers or if it is a stupid idea. Not sure if this should go here or electrical. I have an underdash Panasonic 8-track with a fm radio cartridge in my Dart convertible. I would like to...

    Cardboard headliner repair

I did a cardboard headliner in an Omni. it had some areas of cracks in it, I duct taped the cracked areas, then glued sheet foam (I used a mattress pad trimmed to size), then covered it with vinyl, then made matching buttons and sewed them trough the vinyl, foam and tied them off above the...

    Anyone ever resew sun visors?

The stitching on my sunvisors is coming apart, the rest of the sunvisor is good yet. I have been thinking about finding some strong, uv resistant thread(its a convertible)and trying to resew them using the previous holes, probably won't be able to match original stitching but with the price...

oil pressure guage, would this work?

Hate the look of the guage pods hanging under the dash, and don't really have a lot of room with 8-track hanging under the ashtray. I would like to add an oil pressure guage, something small and unobtrusive and ran across this, and wondered if it would work? Oops forgot the link...

Lets see your gauge cluster set ups

Been thinking of adding an oil pressure guage, but already have a 8 track player hanging under the dash, so a full size gauge might be a knee knocker, so I have been looking at oil pressure gauges for motorcycles, have seen where they range from 1 1/2" to 15/16". The only problem is they are...
