Not sure on drag cars, but circle track cars, all belts are supposed to be mounted to the cage.

Putting an aftermarket steering wheel in my 67 Dart. An old school chrome wheel with the plain round horn button. I would like to add an emblem to the horn button, either a fratzog (Dodge Delta) or "GT". I am thinking something around 1 1/2 to 2 inch's in diameter. Any ideas? Thanks Aaron

If it is like my 75 Duster had there is a relay looking thing over by the fuse box just unplug the wires there. Back in the day I used to just buckle the seat belts and tuck them into the seat.

I would second the reinforcement. I know from experience that a very sudden stop at 35 mph and 120 lb person can rip a bench seat out of the floor of a 67 Dart.

I did my carpet about 18 years ago. I originally trimmed the edges at the door and folded it over the pinch weld seam, my sill plates split after time, I don't know if it was because of the carpet being folded over the seam, so I am going to trim it level with the pinch weld and maybe stick it...

I feel for the OP. Hate it when I go to work on my car and am either short a screw or they are the wrong size, then I have to drive 1/2 hour(equals about 30 miles around here)to the nearest hardware store to spend less than a dollar.

I have looked some at custom autosound, but I am cheap, and haven't been able to justify the price, yet. I also don't want to many gizmos as I like the simplicity of old cars.

Not sure on drag strip sanctioning but most dirt track sanctioning bodies do not allow fiberglass or plastic racing seats, have to be aluminum.

just to update, I cut some denim in tucked it between the springs and the foam, so it should hold the flakes from falling on the floor. Aaron
