    The VIN code is the bottom line of the tag, hence the RM designation! R is the model, M is the trim level, 23 is the body style, the E code is the motor, the D code is the trans! The color is the next line up, F5!!

    Well, I had a 383 block with a 1969 casting date and an assembly date of mid-year 1971, so yes it's entirely possible!!
