No, this is the best pic I have right now. She's in bed for the winter.

I only have a pic of the donor 9 bolt axle from a 68 Barracuda (shown above). I want to use the SG from that axle for my 73. Need a kit before installing it, if it will work for me.

She's was a 73 318 auto now a 340. Couldn't confirm anything about the axle, never been apart since new.

Still not sure if there's a difference between 9 bolt vs 10. Thanks for the pic, clears that up.

1. Will a SG from a nine bolt 7 1/4 work in a ten bolt? 2. Are there rebuild kits out there for the SG?

If you flat tow it (which is not recommended), you will have to remove the drive shaft. Why don't you trailer it?

Thanks I'll try that, engine is out and trans is held up with a floor jack currently.

Maybe a dumb question, does the transmission need to be held up with a jack if the motor is out? Need to move the car around with motor out.

I would contact Winners Choice Transmission Parts. I purchased a kit for my 904 behind a 340. They built my torque converter to match up with the specs of the 340. They know what they are talking about when it comes to tranny's.

I purchased my SS ones thru Summit "Right Stuff" and I must say their pre-bent lines fit perfectly.
