I find I have to blow out my computer at least once a year to keep it happy. The fans actually start getting louder which tells me they're dragging when dust builds up on them.
I also had a problem after loading Office 2010. The system would lockup every time I loaded Word and used it for...
I'd recommend to stick with the job you have but specialize in something and get really good at it. Find the job nobody wants to do or is a bit tricky and get really good at it then you'll be worth bucks.
I drove my last 6-banger project car (67 notchback Barracuda) from San Francisco to Tahoe with no gauges, 1 headlight, really really bad 9" brakes, bald & different sized tires, no horn, no turn signals etc. The only thing that did work was the brake lights! The thing scared the hell out of me...
It gets even stranger if you own a convertible. Everybody wants to talk to you while you're driving down the highway! It usually starts with "do you want to sell it"? I usually say yes and give em an outrageous price, that usually shuts em up. I had a guy on the freeway wanted to start a...
I generally try not to drive in the rain cause I'm afraid some idiot will run into it. I cannot take the chance. I drive the Toyota instead, it's replaceable!
1973- 1976 USMC radioman H&S 2/4 Third Marine Division - "The Magnificent Bastards". Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cambodia & Vietnam '75. Also with MAC6 at Cherry Point, NC for about a year. OOhrah!
Not only is tomorrow Veterans day but today is the Marines Birthday- Semper Fi. As a former Marine I will be at the local Vets hall tonight to cut the cake. I salute all veterans on this fine day (especially those of you who have an A-body).
I too have had bad luck with Laysons. They send the wrong parts or they don't fit or God knows what. In any case it's tough getting your money back. Bad news travels fast!
I used to have a 80's full size Dodge Van with a big hitch sticking out at the rear end. All kinds of people use to tailgate me because they couldn't see around it and I would sometimes stop fast, not really on purpose, it just worked out that way. Anyhow, after 4 people totaled their cars...
That engine compartment looks a bit rough, like a back east rust bucket. I did my 67 ragtop cuda this past year and I do recall it took a long time to do the engine compartment. The further I got into it the more I took apart! Anyhow, good luck to you, hope it turns out well.
That 68 convertible looks rough. I am putting together another 67 ragtop fishmobile. The front clip is painted, rear is ready for final paint. I was just waiting for a good warm day to paint. Anyway see it at http://www.theunion.net/brodeur/cuda/rebuild.htm
I also have a 69 fastback as a...
