    Back from paint

It has a magnum topend, but a 73 360 block so it's a flat tappet cam. Odd that it took out the lifters as the engine was broke in on a engine dyno. Comp cams apparently had some bad lifters around the time this engine went together so who knows. Not the end of the world and allowed me to go...

    Back from paint

Well it's finally done...almost. Unfortunately lost 5 lifters on startup so I get to put a new cam in, but otherwise 99% done. I will get some better pics once I get it out of the garage.

I'm going to be putting in my headliner shortly. Would you have, or know where I might get the two rods that hold the back bow in place? I must have lost these in one of my moves.

    Back from paint

Well... got married and moved to a new place with a more suitable work space (20x40 shop). Did a ktchen reno on the new place as well as insulate the shop. Also found the body guy screwed up and had to send it back to him. That took another 4 months. Still, the car sat without anything done...

    Back from paint

I like the idea of big things from small packages. Besides, the big block would be heavy out front and there is a whole lot more room in the engine bay with the small block. As for power it should be in the 420 hp range and 450 tq. That should handle most on the street. There will always be...

Should also add, that it will be wet sanded in the Spring, after I get it road worthy, just to handle any of those possible mishaps when putting it back together.

    Back from paint

Thanks for the comments. Took the guy a year and a couple of months, but I figure with a black car, give him all the time he needs!! As for drivetrain, Orginally, I had planned to use the numbers matching 340, but it was too far gone to rebuild the way I wanted to. Still have the block and...

After an extended stay at the body shop, my dart is finally back home. Now the fun begins. The colour is brilliant black metallic. Really pops in the sun.

    What to do next

Yeah that's the wayI have been leaning myself. I'm too damn accident prone to work around a freshly painted car.

    What to do next

I got my car back from media blasting today. Now, should I do the suspension now and then send it off for the paint job or have the paint job done first? Also, what colour are the outer fenderwells, body colour or black?

    Floor Pans

I paid 345 taxes in for both front pans from cross canada. I priced stuff from year one. The pans themselves were relatively cheap. Getting them to Canada, not so much. I think there was $15-20 difference when all was said and done, so I just ordered them from here.

    body & paint quotes

Just wondering how much it has cost for guys on the board to have their cars done, body and paint wise. I understand some cars will need more than others but I just like to get a general idea of what things cost these days. I seem to be caught in the past as the quotes I have received seem WAY...
