    Back about 10ish yrs ago , I bought an upper dash cap off of e bay , it fit perfect , is about undetectable , and holding up very well.

    Been a long time ago , after second thot , it might have been 1/2''. I had to fill 2 huge speaker holes in mine , I then covered the trunk side w/ 1/16 alum. sheet , and recarpeted the interior side. finally carpeted over the rear strut holes too.

    I bought 2 off ebay about 10ish yrs ago, they were kinda generic , and did go to the front seam, which I welded solid all the way across. They took a little more fitting than some people like , but worked out well, just wish I`d have ground/smoothed the under side welding up a little more ...
