    NOS price stupidity

"Why take a chance with an off-brand or one without a box? Aftermarket Units have been known to leak." My brand new aftermarket sending unit seal works a hell of a lot better than the original did. And the sending unit actually, you know, works. And I couldn't help but notice it apparently...

    I need you guys..have a question.

It would have changed the amount of fuel at idle. The RPM adjustment for idle is the screw the controls how open the throttle is. It's located at the bottom of the throttle bracket. As was stated, 1.5 turns out is a good starting location for the idle mixture screw.

    bumpers?

What year? Duster/Dart Sport/Demon bumpers should interchange as long as they're the same year. I think 74-76 were the same, as well as 70-72. 73 I can't remember.

Take it to Enhanced Performance Auto on Hosmer and Kzoo. I can attest for the character of the guy who runs it, and the quality of his work.

    Fiberglass instrument cluster?

Fiberglass no, plastic yes. If you could make fiberglass or plastic cheaper than the $100 that redline and fast lane west want, then you could probably sell a few.

    Is this for an A-Body???

According to the Mopar Chassis book, a body 8-3/4 track width was 55.60" and spring seat center to center was 43.00." next lowest would be a b body with a track width of 59.20" to 62.00" depending on the year. 51.40" was the measurement for the 7-1/4 axle.

Chrysler brings back the Dodge Dart

Why are some people so insecure that they won't drive anything with four doors, or don't consider it a "real performance car" unless it has two doors? Really guys? Wake up and smell the roses, the world has changed. People can't afford to have two cars anymore, they need to have a single car...

    engine shops in MI?

Muscle Motors isn't bad, but you can do better. Check out Engine Performance on Northrup and Cedar, by the blockbuster. They have done some of the nicest work I've seen. It shares a building with the NAPA that's right next to it.

    2012 Detroit Auto show

I went on Thursday, took 153 pictures lol, just couldn't get enough. Shame they had the Darts all locked up though. I asked one of the Chrysler guys about it, and he said since they're all preproduction models, we aren't allowed in. Oh well, the Grand Cherokee Overland they had was sweet.

They do... All car companies use focus groups during the design process.

Better Dart Reincarnation (with Charger & Coronet)

Wow, calm down man. NOBODY accepts ideas from outside the corporation, I don't care I it's ford, gm, or Chrysler. There's an *** load of legal reasons they don't want to get involved. And as far as making cars no one buys, they were the fastest growing auto company in the united states, Mexico...

7 1/4 rear end hold up?

Maybe if you're really, really, really, really gentle. But even then, I've seen these things break behind stock /6's, granted, they're usually driven by idiots, but still.

    Pentastar motor

From the rumors going around right now, the top motor available in the Dart will be the 2.4l in the r/t. I'm sure they'll do a SRT-4 version, but I doubt they would put the v6 in it. Judging by Dodge's track record with small cars (omni, neon) I doubt that after the aftermarket gets ahold of it...

Yeah, I agree, but if you're on the wrong side of the world where everything's upside down, driving on the wrong side of the road, and none of this American iron is available, I guess these could work ;)

$ for $, hp for hp, How well does Mopar compare W/ GM's LS engine?

http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tech/0403phr_chrysler_hemi_57_liter_345ci_engine_review/index.html This should help explain everything. Having worked a *lot* on the LS motors, I can tell you, that while they do make good power out of the box, they don't necessarily make more than the new...

    will a 727 bolt to a 318?

Magnum block is essentially the same as an LA block. Some minor internal differences, but otherwise identical. I think they were all internally balanced if I'm not mistaken, maybe someone else can chime in if I'm wrong. If you want overdrive, the 42rh is the way to go. Here's a breakdown. 727...

    Daily Driver A body Questions?

I'd recommend a 67-69 Dart if you want trunk space. When they redesigned in '70 they shortened the trunk a bit. Whatever you get, put the 318 roller motor in and the 904 lock up, and you'll be happy.
