They used the 833od in trucks until 85 I think, and they used the np435 I believe it was, along side the 833 od. The 435 has a granny gear and no overdrive, the 833 had a normal first and an overdrive.

I might be wrong, but I think the only difference between the truck and car overdrives, was the gear ratio in 4th. Cars had a .76, trucks had a .71. I believe first was the same, I may be wrong though.

Why on Earth would you wanna run a t10? It was one of the transmissions the 833 was built to beat. Add that to the fact that it wasn't great to start with (GM replaced it in '63 with the Muncie.), and I would just run the 833. A quick look online shows adapters starting at $599. So... yeah...

Ok, I can't find this info anywhere.. How long is the A Body 833? I need to know if I'm going to have to have my driveshaft shortened when I swap from my 904. Thanks for the help, and for what its worth the B/C/E body 833 w/bellhousing is the same length as a 727.
