As others have already stated, you don't need a press, or even an official bearing and seal driver kit. Just put the old race on top of the new one, and pound it into the hub. Flip it over, and then punch out the old race. Easy peasy. Or if you do lots of races, as a professional mechanic would...

Don't think those tools were invented yet during the 1970's when i was in the AF. And working around jet aircraft you had a certain amount of tools in your CTK, (consolidated tool kit) that were authorized to be in there, and nothing else. A highly inventoried tool system, if something got lost...

I just purchased one of those Milwaukee cordless, battery pack, 3/8 drive ratchets from an ebay vendor. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, when i go wrecking yarding, for rebuidable parts. Those battery pack tools should come in handy.

Not very practicle if your working on a vehicle that is a runner, and a driver, that just needs a rebuild, or replacing the bars. But thank's for your reply.
