Gen 2 for me. Funds permitted it will be what goes in the Dart some year. No arguing that the "new" HEMI is a good motor but for me Mopar slaughtered the mystique of a HEMI by putting it in damn near every vehicle they make.

Build a reasonable motor with decent compression, keep the boost low when on pump gas......not going to hook up on the street when you start talking higher hp anyways....track day gets here give it some octane & turn the boost up. seem to remember the 4500 being a truck trans with a granny gear, something like 5 or 6 to 1 low gear......and being a pig when it comes to weight......pretty sure it is close to 200 pounds.....might want to google it.

from what I remember the t-56's have a different length input shaft. QT does offer, if i remember right, a bellhousing to use any, GM/Ford or Viper t56. sad to say, in the long run it very well might be cheaper to get a new t-56 Magnum from any retailer as the price is fixed on them I believe...

i have hagerty, they will allow you to adjust the policy as you see fit. they will insure it even if it is a non-running vehicle. it is covered even if it gets damaged loading/unloading off the trailer. the rates are very reasonable, especially given the 0 deductible....
