    383 with zero oil pressure.

Thanks OK, I didn't get a chance to work on the breaks last night. I will attempt to get to the shop this weekend and check them out. I must spend time with the family for a few days!

    It's ALIVE, sort of.

Jack, I don't know if this helps, but we pulled the valve covers tonight on the 383 and found a bent push rod with the lifter out of the bore. replaced the lifter into the bore and threw a new pushrod in and presto. Pressure! Good luck

    383 with zero oil pressure.

Honestly I'm not sure. I talked to my uncle in Jersey and he remembers my father having "all kinds of problems getting the dual cylinders on the front calipers right, but that he finally got it". If I have time tomorrow after I put the rest back together, I will look for some id on them and post...

When we turned the motor the valve on number 4 was hung. A few love taps and some marvels and she released nicely! I would wager that the valve hung and caused the pushrod to bend. Thanks fellas, tomorrow night we will put everything back together and get the timing dialed in better. Then it is...

First of all , I want to say thank you all for your input. I just got back from my buddies garage. First we primed the oil pump with no filter. Oil shot beautifully out on the ground. we then switched to the other filter and primed. still zero. Then we removed the passenger valve cover. Lo and...

I know, that is what I am worried about. I hope some of the other posters are correct. At worst I am praying that a push rod got bent and a lifter is out of place! I will keep everyone up to date after tomorrow night!

Mopar 367, yes that was one of the first things I picked up on while cruising the site. Thanks for your input. Will I be able to see if the pick up is bent, and will I be able to see if a lifter came out when I remove the valve cover?

    383 with zero oil pressure.

Thanks, that is about the plan for tomorrow. First my buddy Joe and I were going to remove the filter and use the drill to see if we shot oil out of the pump. Then put the filter back on and try again with the drill for pressure. If not , then pull the pass side valve cover to check the pick ups...
