I had a problem. It just plain stopped working. When I first put it in it ran great. Then one day I pulled in the driveway, shut the car off, and that's all she wrote. No more spark. Their techline was very helpful. SAVE YOUR RECEIPT! It was 10 month into 12 month warranty so they replaced it. I...
HEY! Thanks for the link to the instructions! I dug around and found another coil. Maybe soon I can try this again...wish I could carve out more than 10 minutes at a time to work on it. Gotta check the weather forecast for Friday.
no spark at all, I'm trying to figure out why and I had no idea how to check a ballast resistor. Car is a 72 Valiant with slant 6 and has a Pertronix ignitor. I'll go try to chase what's wrong down when the new batch of snow melts...ENOUGH ALREADY!
How many ohms resistance should a ballast resistor read? The one in the car has 12v on both sides, so I'm guessing thats not right. The used one I have sitting around reads 0 ohms resistance, so I'm guessing tha's not right either.
Am I checking these thing correctly?
I'm having issues w/ left blinker + gas gauge. Whats the best way to get into the dash to check the connectors and wires while minimizing possible damaged from a clumsy oaf?
Ok...if the left blinker works, the gas gauge dosn't, when the gas gauge works the left blinker dosn't, the dash lights used to work but quit, and all the fuses are good. Anybody able to point me to where I should start looking? Oh yeah...72 Valiant
OK...if I have the blower running w/ lights on it runs at discharge, the left blinker function eratically, but doesn't work w/ blower on.
lights on, no blower - charges
how do I test the draw of the blower motor?
what are my options if it draws too much?
