We need more info on engine, trans, body style combo... However with it vibrating in neutral, I would start looking into the flex plate, torque converter, or vibration damper... This could be a 360 with the wrong flex plate or torque converter combo....

You can always modify/convert a non mechanical fuel pump engine to accept a mechanical fuel pump... It will require a cam with the 'long nose' and then the fuel pump eccentric, and timing chain for the mechanical fuel pump... No deal breaker if you are willing to convert...

If you paid for it, it's iron... If you took it without paying, it's steal....

I believe most of them are 3/8" - 16 and the smaller ones are 1/4" - 20 ... Maybe the largest ones 7/16" -14

I believe that the converter bolts have shorter heads than the standard bolts.... They may hit and make some noise if you use standard store bolts....

You can get a running 318 cheaper than that.... Plus, that engine has alot dirt on it for "only 1500-2000 miles"...

Use a piston dead stop tool and put the #1 cylinder at TDC, then check where the TDC mark on the outer ring of the damper is.....

Maybe the outer ring on the vibration damper spun on you....

The cranks either have symmetrical or offset bolt pattern... Then the converters either have 10" diameter or 11" diameter bolt pattern to attach to the flex plate... Figure out which crank bolt pattern you need and then match the bolt pattern for the flex plate.... Click on each of the top...
