Turndowns are 67 bb only, from the factory, they came with the correct valance that has (barely) halfmoon cutouts, which I believe is reproduced. I bought the Accurate exhaust years ago, fit like a glove, no cutting or modification needed.

I have a 67, Accurate exhaust, no modifications whatsoever, fit perfectly. I've had the gas tank in and out too many times for a junk in-tank pump and r&r was cake. It's late, I'm tired, remind me tomorrow and I'll post a thousand pics if still needed.

I used the Rust-oleum grill paint, lasted years. I tested a small section after 1 coat with map gas and nothing. Started to get rust spots on the top of the highest pipes and some other small areas. Paint never flaked off. Had them blasted and ceramic coated. Lasted a year.

They sure do. They have a pretty good diagram on their website of the exhaust.

Why don't they offer aluminized headers? The exhaust is aluminized. I spent years thinking I skimped on ceramic every time to save a few bucks. To find out it's baloney and I still have to pull them regularly to fix rust is really annoying.

Bought them from TTI coated. Too bad, nice pipes. On another car bought raw headers and had those coated at the only place even close to me that does it, they rusted sooner than the TTIs. They're not rusting from the inside, and I doubt moisture can get under it unless the prep was shotty...

Also, when I did the grill paint I taped off the collector, then emptied a spray can into all 4 tubes, taped off the tubes, and turned the headers upside down and back again multiple times. This was my way of getting some kind protection inside before I had everything assembled and I could start it.

Yep- grill paint. You can get it in black or silver. Home Depot has it as well. Auto part store paint is garbage.

Evaporust I think its called- it might work well on exhaust manifolds, but you may have to buy alot of it.

I had the same problem, or simlar- the car stunk of exhaust. Replaced gaskets, helped out, replaced the rear trunk seal, helped out, still the car stunk though. Changed to high octane gas- problem solved.

Yes it did, my bad, s/b resonator, not resonators. The 273 4 barrel came with oversized exhaust and tail-pipe resonator.

67 Barracuda with the 273 came with tail-pipe resonators, which is similar to what is on that GTS, except they were only chrome on the tip, see pic below. Those GTS ones look like after market 67 383 Barracuda did not have the resonator and the tips turned down. I imagine the same would have...

I've seen that before Did they need a torque strap? (probably) Did the starter get fried? (hopefully not) Will it work with a 4 speed? (NO) I've heard if you replace the motor mounts that helps get the engine in the right place and helps header clearance.

Any a-body header is $600 plus. Try Schumacher if you do not want to cut up your inner fenders.

Make a heat shield for the starter and leave the headers be.
