Remember that too wide of tire for the rim will effect how the tire performs. And a narrower high quality tire with a good rubber compound and tread pattern will outperform a wide one with hard compound and shitty tread pattern . If you are only concerned about the look then go for the widest .

Post a pic of the rim near the bead . That will tell us what width rim you have . 14x5.5s are noticeably deeper there .

How wide are your rims ? A smaller modern tire like a Michelin will give you better traction than a big tire with hard compound and old school tread pattern . Plus they are lighter , quieter , ride better and better mpg.

I forgot you were in Idaho. Cruising down the freeway here at 90 is not uncommon at all . I just run a good Michelin on the street. Nothing really wide needed. Then I have MT Drag radials mounted and ready to go for both cars for the strip .

Those ratings are for SUSTAINED speeds. You might hit 130 for a few seconds on the drags strip or possibly a minute or 2 on an open road if you are wild. I wouldnt worry

Yeah ... I am usually a stock look guy but the Cragars do look nice on there . The stock wheels in Black or color keyed look badass with wider tires and poverty caps .

Never mind I thought that was a picture of your wheel with the wheel cover. Are those the rims in your avatar ? If so I almost gaurauntee thats the issue.
