    Well, a 727 in an early A (63 to 66)is tight , the pinch weld in the tunnel will need to be massaged and or bent out of the way. You will need to find an early A center link even if you use a car or truck engine and trans.

    My 66 has flat engine mount, no spool mounts, went to v8 from my slant 6, intake means a bunch and carb, but I think my hood will fit, probably don't help but I had to chime in, Schumacher conversion mounts to my 360 with a torker 360 aluminum intake to a Edelbrock carb.

    Never saw these before.

    I must say, cost and labor to put an arigenal one on and replace the header or manifold and gaskets i would pay the difference if it indeed seals up any problems a person would have on there build, 80 dollars and know its done :thumbsup:

    I would get the fat adjusted out of the carb and drive it on a good couple hours straight run time, it needs to be ran ... just one man's a pinion

    And to add, some of the best maintenance done to engines are from the north, they are well maintained because its life or death type of thing up there.

    If you have tall gears the dual plain works best getting it off the line, low gears the single plain will benefit over the dual plain.

    318 or 360 , I and leaning towards 360, most of all I have seen with a 727 trans are 360's, outstanding find Keith, swirl port head did come out on 318, great heads.
