Yes, even on 8.0 1/8 mile cars i know for a fact even just ice in a cool can and putting a bag of ice on the intake will net 3 or more tenths.. fact

I will admit I had to do something like that to a truck to get me to work two keep from burning up the trans, hard times make for some rigging till I could get to a junk yard for parts.

Dog hair is not a problem, mopar engines love it, I would say it's a two beer job, but make sure to have a 12 pack ready for after and if a friend visits :thumbsup:

Clean work area, place for bolts and parts, lay a rag in the lifter cam area as soon as you pull the intake off (dont want to drop anything in there) . Clean your bolts before using then, looks like Bad sport covered the other stuff very well, one other thing I like to do, look at this job as...

I did the same, pulled air from in front of the support I may have to get a filter box like the one you posted for my 360 Looks like a good move to getting cool fresh air to the carb :thumbsup:

I was lucky to find that old carb hat for my 390 Holley, the filter box was from a 4.0 jeep, I have to say it helped more then anyone could imagine :thumbsup: cool fresh air being delivered to the intake made my little /6 very happy, where I put the box there was already a hole to keep the...

I really don't know SG, The tec that put the heads and Toilet on said to do this, each time after shut down . I will asked , but the little s 10 was a 6:50 to 6:70 truck and after the change he is bumping near 6:00 sec runs now. Best run has been 6:11.

After shut down we shut the nos bottle off and burg the pressure, shut ignition off and turn the engine over for about 7 sec as we spray wd40 down the toilet.

I have seen there is a bunch to learn when it comes to starting one (and after shut down) can anyone explain this procedure ? WD 40 :drama:

Yall beet me to it, yep this is a 390 cfm Carb , I am running one on my slant and it has been a great carb for me. seems like it might be a little small but I am not a tech here ;) :D

Sorry about the silly question Snake, I have removed a gas cap on a 75 Valiant and it about blew off before I could get it un twisted, someone put a new tank in a 4 door some where in it's past and just plugged the other lines up. I think it's time for a regulator my friend :glasses7:

Is your gas tank vented Snake ? Just wondering if it is holding/building up more pressure there as well.
