    Power Steering Pump differences

Id like to run a Saginaw Type 2 pump but it seems like no one makes the brackets for Mopar. I hate the old Saginaw pumps I have had nothing but problems with leaking/weeping pumps over the years.

Rear Shocks Duster - SS Springs

I ended up going Mopar Drag Shock and to be honest they were quite affordable. Wish i had done it from the start. KYB's I bought are still in the box covered with Dust

    Caltrac operation on leaf springs

The Assassin bars look like a good bit of kit. They look like they hang low though and would be worthwhile looking at how much ground clearance for street use. Rides like an Imperial - Mopar Content

    Caltrac operation on leaf springs

Good video and as I suspected the rear portion of the spring still moves as normal. This has the sliders but the shackle should still do the same thing. All the Caltrac really does is stop the the front portion of the spring trying to walk over the diff housing. Simple but effective when you...

    Caltrac operation on leaf springs

I like you thought the rear shackle would still have forward movement, however I looked at a Cuda the other day that had them and I find it hard to see how the rear shackle would still move. That stiff bar of the caltracs looks like it prevents all forward movement. Backing that bar off would...

    Borgeson/Bergman Steering box kit

I have the Borgeson with borgeson coupler in my 73 Duster and haven't driven as yet and am looking forward to it. Straight forward install. The only reason I bought one is for TTI header clearance which was atrocious and still had to beat on them. But that's another story I wish not to relive.

    Caltrac operation on leaf springs

Ok never had them and just curious about them working. What I know is that it is basically an adjustable bar that bolts from U bolt seat to front shackle that locks up preventing the axle wrapping up and trying to walk over the diff housing in racing situations. My question is do they then...

    Ignition Switch Problem

Thanks 67Dart273. I thought I had the column shoved right up into the park position but obviously not. I had made a bracket to mount my Tach on the Shifter nub and must have moved it slightly. I have moved the shifter to a B&M on the floor.

    Ignition Switch Problem

I recently had the column out of my Duster. I put it all back together fine however now the igntion lock wont turn back to the off and accessories position. Its strange beacuse I never took any of the lock mech out. I have now removed lock cylinder and it moves freely so there is something...

    Steering Column Install help???

Thanks guys I will try again. The parts are the ones I took off so there is no mismatch. I can see the missing tooth on the steering box and will look at the coupler tomorrow when I have more light so i can see where it lines up.

    Steering Column Install help???

    1) Would I install steering column with the coupler attached to the shaft, and then feed the whole lot onto steering box or 2) Install coupler on the steering box and then feed shaft with blocks into the coupler. I went with option 1 but Im buggered if I can get the darn thing on...

    Steering Shaft Length?

Does anybody know the correct length of a 73 Duster Steering Shaft. I have mine disassembled. I can see the plastic shear pins but I suspect that it is collapsed. It's current measurement is 38 1/4 inches and from what I have seen on a post on the net they are supposed to be 41 inches. Can...

    Shock Help

Is there something missing on my top shock mount. If I tighten up the nut it bottoms out on thread before the shock is tight on stud. I have at least a 1/2 inch gap. I took shocks off a while ago and now cant remember how it went together.

Rear Shocks Duster - SS Springs

I took the advice from another thread about shock choices with Super Stock Springs. A member suggested 1968 Imperial Shocks for the extra travel. I stupidly took this advice without checking it out further and bought some KYB. They do not fit as they have a metal insert bonded in the top...

    SuperStock spring tips.

I put my S/S springs in yesterday. Have 2 inch lowering blocks and packed out my rear shackle mounts 1 1/2 inches. I still only have about 70 degree angle and need to pack out more to get it correct. Haven't got shocks on yet, havent decided on what I am going to use. Others i have read have...

    SuperStock spring tips.

I am using the P3412003-P3412002 Super stock springs on my 73 Duster. Im not a big fan of the 1970's jacked up rear look so I am also using the 2" lowering blocks. Should I still use a shock with the extra travel. Couple of guys here use an 1968 Imperial shock or just use the standard...
