Ok it's got a trans go shift kit. Bb 727. First is good. Second is good. Reverse is good. All hard shifts. Third basically just slides in but have to let off the gas so it goes in. Fluid looks good znd clean. Levels were fine also. Dropped pan and nothing in it. Before I pull tranny is there...

can anyone give me some advise on a rebuild kit for one of these. It will be pretty much street but will see some track time for fun only. 440 duster, 410 gear, 28 inch tall tire, around 525-550hp. Thanks

My Axels are too long, the rear end has been shortened to 53 inches, not sure why, But this is how my brother-inlaw purchased it. I have B body Axels which are 5/8 too long. Can I safely cut this much off without resplining them, they are tappered up too the spline, not enough too respline them...

I Have my 8 3/4 in the machine shop to get shortened, he needs the sure grip out to run a bar threw to keep it true, how hard is it to take out, never had one out before.

The tranny is new yoke goes in all the way then pulled out 1 inch. It turns with tires on the ground but will not move, I have the axcels out and third member out, might just have to take it in.

OK here is the problem, put in gear, drive shaft turns but will not move car under load. New 727 tranny, rear end just put together ,not by me. Axcels are the right length and housing is too. lift car up and tires will turn, is there something wrong with the third member?

It's My Brother inlaws 74 duster. Looks like it'l have to come out.

Here is the problem, tranny shifts fine but will not move the car under load, lift the car up off the ground then moves correctly forward and reverse, this has new tranny fluid and it is full. Checked when hot. Its a SB 727 with reverse valve body. Is this the clutches gone bad?
