I used the Ron Francis fuse panel and harness in my 66 Dart race car.I can switch back to street car anytime as it,s wired for all accessories to work also(blinkers,wipers etc..) Costly,but done right.:D

In the pic it looks like the second alternator wire hooked up is blue...disconnect the blue and plug in the green wire.Hope this works.

Sorry to here your MSD issues Chris.I,ve never had any issues that you speak of in the 7 yrs I,ve been running the 6AL boxes in 2 of my cars.I did step up to the 7AL 2 step in the 66 Dart though.Guess I,ll be keeping the 6AL box I removed if they,ve changed them to Chinese guts.

My bad,plug# is Autolite Racing AR3934....not R3934.

I also run the MSD SS Blaster coil.Yours might like the bigger gap now that you have the box,maybe time for a MSD coil also..:burnout:

Autolite R3934 gapped at .050 I also run Eddy heads though.MSD recommends the .050 gap on their site.

Hey Chris,I just pulled the 68 Cuda out of the trailer and loaded up the 66 Dart.Its ready for the season,just waiting for things to dry up.Now that I think about it I forgot to drain the antifreeze out of it and add just water(distilled).:banghead:

its about time LOL I think it will help with the performance of your stroker engine(stronger spark)You might wanna open up your plug gap abit also.JMO

I,d say tops a 2 hr job,if all is good with the donor harness.2 hrs is pulling out old one and installing the new one.

I paid a friend $1000 to install my Ron Francis Express box and harness in my 66 Dart racecar....and I helped do it.My car was in his shop for 2 weeks as we work 10hr shifts together(Ford Plant Oakville).

I guess you could try Google under HotRod Shop in your area?Atleast will get you some leads.Just trying to help.

Change the box..its fubard,and don,t start anymore theads on this.

Ignition box,get a chrome one and carry a spare.Nowadays usually made in ChINA

This is what I did before changing all my wiring to the Ron Francis box and harness.I pulled the main power feed from both sides of the junction box(at firewall).I drilled through both and fed a thicker gauge power wire direct with an inline fuse.Depending on the condition of your wires,this...

Good advise RedFish.Take a look at inside the door post for a stuck interior light pin,also check at the harness block at firewall.These are problem areas with corrosion.Maybe a bad ammeter too?

Sounds like its running off the battery(altenator not chargeing)Take your alt. off and have it checked at Parts store.If fine,I,d be looking at the regulator.There,s a few electrical gurus here,hope they can chime in.

Post some pics of the back of the tach and it,s wiring.Lots of electrical techs here to help you out.

I use a stock 60 amp. 1 wire alt in my 66 Dart.:D
