Educate me on the markings on new slicks

20240415_183917 by Hyperpack, on Flickr Hello All, in the above picture, I want to know what all of the silver marker means if anything. I know that the 90 1/4" is the Rollout / Circumference of the tire. But what about the 5 HZZ 2? and the 20/10? Any help is appreciated. I just want to...

Those RAS Rocker shafts can be thin/ soft - Don't tighten them too much as they will squash out and bind. I used less torque and some red loctite on the RAS unit I have n my '69 Dart. They have worked fine since ~2006. and ~30,000 Miles.

Maybe it is angle milled? The dime is totally gone! Bye, Bye Roosevelt, Sir. Measure a stockish head from the valve cover sealing surface to the deck and compare it to this one.

What are the cam specs and piston/ compression ratio specs on the new engine? The australian rollmaster timing sets have never let me down although the lower gears are tight on the crank and can be fussy with the degreeing on the crank gear.

    Footbrake vs. Transbrake

Do you use a two step with the transbrake? When I footbraked I never used a 2 step, but I did with the transbrake. In my setup it was not all that differnt in the timeslip between the 2, but I could "tune" my reaction time by futzing with the 2 step RPM. I am not sure how everyone else...

Late A bodies = Heavier but more affordable / less desirable .. The best RWD A body for lightness is the 60-62 Valiant / Lancer, then you get into the crickets / Arrow / Challenger Rebadged Mitsu Cars. I have an '87? Sundace for another project sometime. I have cut a Lot of weight out of mine...

E58 is the 1978 'Lil Red express spec and used in the police pursuits as well during that era. We have one in a 1980 Dodge aspen at my dad's shop. I don't have all the specs but I am sure they are readily available. Greg

Any Interest in Road Racing Mopar?

From my experience and also talking with other mopar road racers, most choose not to use a rear sway bar anyway. If you have the front setup properly with good rate and a good sway bar with skookum mounts and geometry you may not need a rear bar at all.

Yes if you are going to stay with the chrysler calipers the ~'77 cordoba 11-3/4" rotors with ebc yellows are good. Upsize the wheel tire combo to ford wheels... mustang 245 45 17 or bigger. Use 3" lug studs at all 4 wheels and play with spacers to get the proper wheel backspacing to work for...

For the ball joints and rod ends I would recommend Only proforged. Amazon or summit razing should have them. Avoid Moog/ Federal Mogul joints and rod ends. I used the Reilly Motorsports Adjustable strut rods. I am sure they have them or can make them, I do not believe they are listed on their...
