Make your own adjustable strut bars.

aluminum would be good to cut even more weight and i bet you could find a 12" rod with hex end and thread very cheap... i'm going to search for one right now.

    PST, Magnumforce, or?

I know autoxcuda claims he gets 5-degrees out of his setup with the moog offeset bushing - might want to check his posts to see how. 1-degree seems low. check this out: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=129583&highlight=moog+offset+caster

Moog Ball Joints Worth the Price?

I went with MOOG anyhow, I haven't really found a compelling reason not to but I have read complaints about pst and just suspension kits - though I've heard much praise for those kits too. Live and learn, thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Moog Ball Joints Worth the Price?

Okay, so either way I'm paying $45+ per joint then, beacuse Raybesto's pro grade is $46. I suppose then I shall go with Moog and be done with the order.

Moog Ball Joints Worth the Price?

Oh and I forgot to mention the Raybestos are "service" grade as opposed to "professional" grade. What ever that is worth, I dunno, apparently $30.

Moog Ball Joints Worth the Price?

Thanks for the feedback - I want to repalce the tie rod ends and sleeves eventually. As for the tie rod sleeves, anyone know of a kit that replaced the adjusting sleeves with al or steel tubes? I would think this would be a lot stiffer - I may make some when the time comes.

Moog Ball Joints Worth the Price?

I'm placing an order today to freshen' up my fron suspension while I install my front discs. Are Moog ball joints worth the price? I need to replace the uppers. I'm using smaller ball joints since it's a non-modified KH 4-piston setup. Raybesto has service grade joint for $16 bucks and the...

    Strut Rod Question

Where did you get the strut rod kit with heim joints in lieu of rubber or poly bushing? I was thinking the same thing but haven't found a kit yet. I would bet this, welded subframe connecters and adding caster to the front suspension probably makes for a DRAMATIC difference.

    Weld in Subframe Connectors

Great link, I'll have to see if they have one for early a bodies. I have a '66 which I believe is a few inches shorter that the '67+.

    Weld in Subframe Connectors

Has anyone had experience with Chassis Engineering? They sell a weld in a-body subframe connectors for $99.95 (I need to confirm that's per pair, don't know why it woudl not be). I'm sure shipping is pricy but that seems like a good price...

    Rear Spring Swap

Are these commonly fused to the bracket? I could not get this off for the life of me... had to take the leaf w/ bracket attached to a buddy's house w/ an impact gun... even after the bolt was out the nut would not come off of the bracket - smacked it a few times with a 5# hammer.

    Rear Leaf Hanger Nut Size?

Anyone know if the rear leaf spring bolt on the front hanger is a 5/8-11? I know I am using a 5/8 bolt with my HD springs. I purchased a set of the lowering hangers and they don't appear to have a nut welded on like the factory piece. I was also thinking of using a flange bolt rather than a...
