My Plum Crazy Dart has been sitting in storage in PA ever since MoparFest in Ontario last year. I'll be at Carlisle, come back for MoparFest again in August and then another 6000 mile road trip via Rt 66 and the Pacific Coast Highway back home to WA State. Look for me, would love to meet more...

That's how they got Middle Georgia Raceway in Byron, Georgia. It was opened in 1966. Slowly, a couple of trailer parks opened around it. They finally closed the track in 1986 after lots of complaints. Fact is, more noise comes from those trailer parks then ever came from that race rack. Sad too...

Consider a rebuilt 318 that is a direct replacement - less hassle and even comes with a warranty. Seems a lot easier if you're not into solving puzzles and doing fabrication. I've had a succession of 70 Darts with 318s - bulletproof and easy to maintain. My current crop:

None of the LO or BO cars were body-in-white. They were finished off at the Hurst factory. As others have mentioned some racers re-did their '68 cars so they could compete a bit longer in P/S. Oddly AMC tried that with their S/S AMX cars for S/S but NHRA refused them. Mopar seemed to get away...

Bradenton and the Developers made a deal to keep both parties happy. Not exactly sure of the details, but apparently the area around the track will become some kind of park or area devoid of housing. This is a rare case of both parties getting together to help out the community...
