Friend is having problems with his Dart dripping oil. Engine is a rebuilt 340.
Oil appears to be dripping from the spot where the oil filter is screwed on and the block? The filter is not dripping
Now is there a flat gasket or an O-ring sort of deal that goes in there? He's been told both.
Where is this oil coming from?
It builds up in the low spots of the intake manifold such as here for example:
Both sides, left and right.
Replaced the valve cover gaskets. Replaced the PCV valve in case Im getting blow back, Going to replace the manifold gasket next. Any other ideas what...
Having an argument with a friend about getting to about 325hp with a 318 and the easiest vs cheapest way to do it. I told him that there is no real cheap way to go around it and that he's looking at a couple thousand.
So what is the cheapest way you know of to get a 318 to approx 325hp?
Damn I'm now hearing a ticking noise coming from my engine, driver's side, near the back close to the firewall. It's not there when I start the engine but appears after I start driving it for a couple minutes.
I'll try to get audio of it soon.
