I've never owned a car with a line loc. My Duster has one installed but not wired to a switch. I have a 4 gear with a pistol grip, where's the best place to mount a switch?

I'm going to order a Jegs or Summit exhaust kit and would like opinions. Should I go with 2 1/2" and use manual plate cutouts on race day or install 3" and leave connected for racing. 3" would be less to do come race day, 2 1/2 would mean removing the plates but sound better when racing.

So, I have this 71 Duster 340 with a 4 gear, no engine and an 8 3/4 with 4:30 gears. I bought it to get back into drag racing which I haven't done for 30 years (kids and life have a way of changing priorities). I need lots of info and was hoping the very knowledgeable people on this great site...
