    Where can I get 904 low gears?

    I have a 72 Valiant w/ a 225 and a 904. I want to get 1.74 first gear. Where can I find gears? Should I just look for a trans that was already geared low? I think that would be post-1980 and I would need the tourque converter too. Anything else I'd need to change?

    How can I ID a 7 1/4 suregrip? I would like a little more traction w/o switching to 8.25 or 8 3/4. I doubt I'll be pushing it hard enough to break it.

    9" ford

    I want to change my 7 1/4" rear, but all the 8 3/4' rears have appearantly been gold plated! Now I have a 9" ford in my back yard thats about 1 1/2" narrower than the 7 1/4. What kinda can-o-worms amI gonna open trying to adapt this? The bolt pattern is bigger. Change the axels? I guess i'll...
