Ok per SA Designs 'Chrysler Performance Upgrades'..... A 2.45 rear end has a special differential axel case..... Thus to upgrade gears I would need a new differential as well. That means I need another full rear end... Huh? I'm a GM guy and we just have to worry about ring and pinions and...

Someone please tell me that this rear end isn't the funny one and can have 3.23ish gears put in? I've heard that the 2.45 8 1/4 rears used unique cases.

Ok, soo have the option of getting a 727 from a motorhome. If its going into a '72 dart do I need a long or short tail shaft and what length would that be? Please let me know. Car currently has a 318 / 727 combo in it.
