Show Us Pictures of 2nd Generation Barracudas

-
Well, my fish ponds are all fished out. I do expect to find some more as time goes forward (I have decided to buy a street fish so I am now again checking all the "For Sale" sites again).

This thread was started 2 months ago and we have posted over 4000 pictures of 2nd Generation Barracuda related material. 92 different FABO members have posted over 300 pictures of their cars.

Thanks to all of the viewers and posters of this thread. I have learned a great deal and really enjoyed each day getting to look at some new version of or piece of information about Plymouth's 2nd Generation Barracuda.

I hope others have as well.

Man that is a pretty bad *** street fish, Jim.

Too bad they didn't put a little bigger tire under the rear - Ha!

A Hemi and a Lenco transmission - Very Sweet!!

68 Barris Barracuda. I believe that this is one of only two known to still exist with the rare dealer installed George Barris custom package which included fiberglass hood inserts, C-pillar scoops, and trunk lid with molded in spoiler. The Radir wheels and dummy side pipes were also part of the dealer installed package. This one was sold new at Woodbridge Chrysler Plymouth in Woodbridge, Virginia. It was one of two sold by that particular dealer that had the Barris Barracuda package installed. This one is owned and has been restored by the son-in-law of the original owner.
This one is a 340 4-speed Formula S.

Very sweet pictures and information. Wow, one lucky son-in-law - How cool!

I have attached some photos that were posted earlier in the thread as well as an article from the day on the Barris option. I can not tell if it is the same car or not - if you look close behind the front wheel well in the photo I attached the car has another emblem under the Formula S badge - your pictures do not have that. It could have been added later, I guess if it is the same car.

The article does not mention the C pillar scoops (nor does the car in the article picture have them as far as I can tell). Also it mentions that the front grill parking lights were to be moved down into the front valance (not what any of the other pictures show). The article could be wrong and/or concept changed after it was written, who the hell knows.

Wonder where the heck the other copy of the car is.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and information.

Heres a few more Spoiler pics I've collected over the years. I really like the c-pillar scoops, they add a nice touch to the fastback.

Great photos, Itate. I just noticed that the article on the Barris mod's shows a picture of a 67 prototype, not a 68 like the car photos.

And you call this the "Spoiler" package - First time I heard that, but I see on the fender picture you attached that it was painted or decaled that name under the Formula S badge.

Thanks for sharing the information!

I wish the 1st Generation Barracuda thread got this much action, lol. Oh well, we few who like the 1st Gen's like what we've got. Here's my contribution.

Yea...probably already in this thread somewhere, but A) Love the red, white and blue, and B) Sox and Martin!

Hi BlueNoteFan!

I agree with you on the paint scheme being cool on that Fish.

By the way, some of us dig 1st gens too (Me for one!).

Thanks for sharing the picture.
