They're here.....
I've updated my photo gallery to include the first dashes out, with prices.
I've made some clusters and full-face-plates to give an idea of what's possible and to be honest, these are the most affordable. I know lots have expressed interest, and I'll be able to crank these out at a rate of about 5-10 per week once i begin to get firm orders. Those not already finished will take about 4 weeks to produce, and I can do customs, different hole arrangements and size of tubes.
The pictured dashes eliminate the glove box; the face-plate goes from end-to-end. I will offer the version with the glove box cover, but those aren't ready yet.
You will have to cut your existing frame to make room for the tubes. The faceplates are 1/8 aluminum plate to add structure to the shell.
They will ship with mounting screws; you'll have to drill new holes to provide enough support for the weight of the gauges and the new length of the frame.
To order:
If you want a dash that's pictured, e-mail me at peakdashes@me.com. I obviously have some of those ready to ship. I am making more.
If you want something not pictured, call me to start the process, and I'll give you an adjusted price. Expect 4-6 weeks. (719.433.1915) Other options add to the price you see in those pics: Heater cut-out: add $59; Glove box cover; add $29 if you have the push-button, $59 if you have the turning knob; and $19 for the radio cutout; add $35 for larger tubes (5" and 2 3/8").
All FABO member orders in by April 30th will receive the 10% discount.
When you call please leave your interest, your return phone number, an e-mail where I can send info, and the best time to call.
I have a PayPal account set up under peakdashes@me.com.
I hope I've answered most of the questions you might have.....
Mark

I take it since there is cutting involved there is no year specific dash then?
Do you have detailed installation instructions? Any pictures of what has to be cut out?
The prices are a fair bit higher then the you mentioned in your first post.

Yeah sure they will sell, but those prices are almost double what you suggested earlier. I like them, but will once again will be out of the race for one of these. And i dont understand how the smallest dash is close to price with the others.

Dashs look awesome. Prices don't seem unreasonable at all for the customizing. Would be curious on what needs cut. Also would like to add more gauge holes lol. Will be sending e-mail soon

To be more clear....
Wasn't trying to mis-lead on the pricing. I had a few (3) faceplates of the short dash that I was going to complete and sell for $275. I then elected to re-start the complete manufacturing process, and held off listing prices because I didn't have current manufacturing costs. I chose to be accurate with current pricing, and the records I have indicate the last time RMD sold dashes, they cost, $512-799.
The majority of the cost in manufacturing the dash is in the gauge hole part of the dash, ie. in the holes and the tubes; there's also bezels for the radio and dash cover if that's what your interested in. To add a longer piece of aluminum to the right side is relatively inexpensive. I decided not to add a "proportional amount" to the price just because it was longer.
AS far as trimming the dash frame, the upper-most left corner needs to be clearanced about 1/4" for the standard tubes to fit, and the lowest small tube's position need about a 1/16" to fit. For the A-11, the brace behind the stock speedo needs to be moded because the original design had the speedo centered, and required a hole in that support.
My car is in process right now and I don't have the dash out to show ya'll specifics. I will have it out the last week of the month as I'm off work for the kid's Spring Break. I will post pics of installation and even a video then.
The older A-bodies' cluster's right side (pre-70) is straight up and down, not pointed, and I can do that too if those in that year group just want a cluster.
Sorry to stun ya'll. It wasn't my intent.

To mitigate some of the sticker shock....
I'll raise the discounted percentage to 15% til the end of April.
The margin is just too close to go lower.

I'll vouch for the previous prices. I got one of the last RMD dashes made before the company ceased operations and the price was somewhere in the $600's. I still have the bare dash and wouldn't part with it for anything because it's going to look great in my Dart when it's finally finished.
I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". The quality is 1st-rate on my dash and I'm sure 'CashA10' is continuing on with that.
I've got something different and special planned for the finish on the dash. All I've got to do now is keep saving so I can get the Dart painted, then put it all back together again.

If ya want one buy one now. Never know if they will go away again. These dashes are bad ass. Love the looks of mine. Can't wait to buy the rest of it when those sections are done.
Seen people wanting these dashes ever since they stopped making them. Now everyone is bitching about price. Price looks real close to what it was last go around.
This thread is a perfect example as to why mopar pieces don't get made.

I sure was not bitching, merely asking a question...guess simple questions are not permitted anymore....At the price that he is selling them it is a steal. The guy does have to keep a roof over his work area. If I did not have more pressing issues right now I would be getting one......

I have one of the two RMDs that came to Australia and have a few pics of my installation.
I could post them up if anyone was interested?
Mark - email coming your way.I want one!!!
If you'll ship to Australia.
And as for the pricing - I purchased my RMD abt 5years ago(I think abt a year before RMD went down?) and the price was abt what Mark is quoting now.I know the prices went up shortly after I bought mine.
Now i don't know what labour rates are worth in the US but I wouldn't like to make my own as opposed to the quoted price.
actually, just before i purchased the RMD I WAS going to make my own. Then someone made me aware of RMD.I weighed up the time it would take me and, although I'm quite handy,i don't believe my finished product would be as nice as the RMD.The RMD looked cheap to me.
