She's in the OR now.
Was informed this morning they are putting in a shunt
to relieve swelling as they do the biopsy. Gonna be an all day surgery then back to ICU.
Oncologist has already been into see her this morning. Should have biopsy report back in to or three days.
Thank you, all, for all the prayers. I've wanted to break down and cry these past few days, but I can't. If she sees me freakin' it'll freak her out even more than she is. And that's been quite a bit. The first night I went wanted to tear the walls down with my bare hands. I friend of ours came over a sat and talked with me til about 2:30 in the morning.
Thanks to all who sent me PM's with phone numbers, thank you. I may take you up on it later. My family is close knit, so support through this is wonderful. Just didn't want to seem ungreatful for the offers to talk. I'll make some calls later to ya'll later so I can thank each of you personally.

Another update.
She's out of surgery and back in the ICU. Came though surgery like a champ. Fought 'em in the recovery room, but it's all good now. She went in at 9:45 this morning and went into recovery at six. She's tired, she's worn out, she's exhausted, and however many synonyms you want to add.
There are two drains in her head and another opening where the biopsy was done. She has no hair, but looks good.
The doc has a very low infection rate and a very high success rate. He plays it conservative when it comes to his patients. Looks like a week minimum in ICU.
Thanks for all the prayers and well-wishes, folks! Got me through a very stressful day. Keep 'em comin,' please. Sarah needs all the support she can get!

Look that lady square in the eye, tell her how much you love her and not to worry. She's got a world full of Moparites in her corner.
If she's in for a bit of humor, you could always tell her it's her Mean Bone and you'll be a lot happier once it's out of there. (Might want to save that for a few months after her recovery).

Will keep on praying for Sarah. Step by step and she will be back home with you and this will just be a memory. By the way Robert, I think the word would be synonym in this case (ducking under my desk now lol.)

She looks good. There's a twinkle in her eye and a rosiness to her cheeks that hasn't been there in a while. She's in good spirits, though starting to go stir crazy. As she put it she's overwhelmed.
Family and friends have circled around us, rallying together. I'll keep ya'll informed.

Got the pathology report back. The cells can only be identified as abnormal. Abnormal as in they can't identify them as benign or malignant. The report is being sent further afield.
Right now our option is a wait and see approach. The doctor will continue to monitor the situation and symptoms as he keeps an eye on the tumor through MRI's. If it shrinks, then we're good. If it stays the same size, or her symptoms get worse, then the surgeon will have to go back, this time, actually going in to take a bigger sample.
In the meantime I'm personally praying the pathology report comes back in three or four weeks from other sources who can identify it. That would mean that the course of action can be planned without actually having to open her up.
