iv got a chance to buy a dana from a 74 duster..supposedly it is a original rear from and installed by mopar...has anyone heard of mopar doing this in an a body..how are these rears..thanks for the help..

The only Dana axle factory installed in mopars was the Dana 60.

If it is, it's one of the strongest axles.

Here is a chart to help identify it, so smoke isn't being blown up your behind...

I bought a Dana 60 with 4.10 gears new for a ton of money. They are the strongest rear you are going to find. Gear changes are fairly quick and inexpensive. If it is truly a Dana I will take it if you don't. Well worth having.

Some people call the 7.25 a Baby Dana... so be careful!

He just said it was an original Mopar Dana, could have been from a B or E body. Or a truck for that matter...
