I have been looking for a 1969 Plymouth Valiant 4 door 6 cyl. car for a very long time that is rebuildable. I found one last week in Port Huron, Michigan. It just fell in my lap. Car has spent all of its life in Marietta Ga. It belonged to an older man and he passed away and left it to his son. Well, he passed away and his estate got it and then a man in Macomb, Mi. purchased the car back in April 2013 and had it shipped from Ga. to Macomb, Mi. He bought the car for his girlfriend because she had learned to drive in a 69 Valiant and he was a mechanic and spent a year and a lot of money going through the car making sure it was in top shape. Well, for some reason she left him and he was stuck with the car. He sold it to the guy I bought it from on 06/14. This guy's wife just had a baby about a week ago and they had to sell one of his toys and this is what he turned loose of. the car has only 69,000 original miles on it. I have documents on this car back to when it was picked up in Ga. We left last night going up to get it and just got back home. Here are a couple of pics that I took. I am going to leave it trailered till Monday morning as I need to take it to the sheriff's office to have the vin checked and title issued and then I can post a few more pics. car runs like a top. When I met my wife 30 years ago, she had just graduated high school and a 69 Valiant brown in color was the first car she owned. so this little jewel will be next on the chopping block to be completely gone through.

stayed last night in Monroe at Knights Inn. fought rain, sleet and road construction all the way. It was cold. when we goy up this morning, it was cold and by the time I got about 20 miles out of Port Huron, it started sleeting again. when we got up there and started loading the car, all hell broke loose. before we left, nothing doing my son had to go see the lake. we were 2 blocks from the lake and we went down Gratiot Rd to the park at the corner of Gratiot and Holland. the caps were rolling off the lake like 2 ft. I forgot how cold it gets up there from when I used to drive a truck. You guys can keep it. but it was a nice trip. But I was more glad to get out of there because of the roads being so bad. They have improved some from the last time I was in Michigan but it was still rough.

my dad bought my mom a car same colour had a green taxi interior I drove the hell out of that thing all through high school I believe my first son was conceived in the ample back seat...LMFAO...

I get this unloaded Monday I am gonna pull the back seat and see if I am lucky enough to find a build sheet under there. I don't imagine the old man who had this knew about it. maybe

That is a sweet looking ride!! You & the wife going to the drive -in soon?

Great find & hopefully the car is as nice as the first pictures show ,Lawrence

I really love the '69 Valiants.
Great find, it looks in good shape......

Nice Bill, send us a few more pics, please!

Very nice....Right after I met my Wife I bought a 69 Valiant 100 4 door.Green with saddle brown interior. We both drove the car for about 12 years and we both loved the little car.I hope to buy another one day.She would love to have another see told me.

that's a nice looking ride shadow. It seems like there are so many variations of the 69 Valiants. What is the difference between the V100 and the Signet. It looks like the tail lights are different and the trim down the side. I guess I am going to have to get educated on the valiants now. and also the /6's. Hell, I may drop a 440 in her. momma would kick my rearend If I did that. My boys said it looks like an old lady car and want to make a derby car out of it.

The only problems I know about on this car is a crack in the dash pad and the front seat needs to be covered. There is no rust on it to speak of except for some surface rust under the trunk mat in the trunk area and it runs like new. I have paperwork where the guy spent $2500.00 on mechanical parts and I have paperwork going back to the original owner in Georgia so I am happy with that. Is the dash pad on this 69 the same as on the 73-76 a body cars. It looks the same. I read somewhere that it is but not sure.

I am gonna pull the back seat and see if I am lucky enough to find a build sheet under there.

My 1970 Valiant had two in it, one under the front seat & one taped to the back side of the glove box liner, so check the whole car out.

It will make a nice driver. Heck they were such good cars I recall Michigan Bell used a ton of those.

it isn't going to be a driver. Momma wants this restored, painted and right. This will be her show car. It looks like I lost my companion going to car shows next year. She will have her own car. Motor is coming out and detailed and engine bay redone. whole ball of wax. I have done received my orders. It will be done just like it came out of the factory. paint code is a Y4.

well I finally got around to unloading the Valiant and taking some better pics of it. Front seat is going to have to be recovered, dash pad replaced and I am going to get the front and rear bumpers re-chromed just to start with. Its sad that I am going to spend more money on this car getting it back in shape that it cost new in 69. But, it only has 69000 original documented miles on her so that is a good start. probably start with pulling the engine and tranny so I can detail them and do the engine bay while they are out. It is going to be a long winter.

thats a sweet little car. its cool seeing a 4 door get taken care of instead of chopped up for 2 door parts. there are so many nice more doors out there.

That car is so nice and clean you might be $$$ ahead to just show it as a "survivor". But above all, you gotta keep momma happy!

That looks really nice! I wonder how that Valliant grille would look in my Dart... :snakeman:

yeah, I learned a long time ago that if momma aint happy, nobody is happy. I let her drive it last night before I stuck it in the garage. only a mile from my sons house home and she was a happy camper. she said I want to drive it this week. I said no plates, no insurance, no drive. cannot see putting all that on there for just a weeks driving and then down for the winter.
