If you are standing in front of your car with hood open and look at your number two cylinder area where the crossflow of coolant is going through the intake manifold and crossing over to the other head,,,,,,,,

Is that coolant flow from left to right, or right to left?

Neither. Coolant LEAVES the lower radiator hose, goes up through the pump, and flows into the block on both sides. It partially flows up into the head, but MOSTLY goes towards the rear of the block, coming up into the head at various points, and flowing FORWARD through BOTH heads. It comes OUT of BOTH heads in the front, "Y's" together in the crossover in the front of the manifold, and flows up through the thermostat and back to the radiator.

So the question remains.
If looking at the water passage from head to head from the front of the car, which way does it flow?
Or are you saying that it comes out of both heads and flow to the waterpump?
OR does it flow from the waterpump out to the two heads?

1 If you start with coolant in the radiator, it flows DOWN the radiator, OUT the lower rad outlet, and UP into the water pump

2 The water pump on just about all V8's (unless they are REVERSE FLOW) is mounted to the block/ timing cover, and has TWO ports, one on each side of the block

3 The coolant flows OUT of the pump and INTO the block ON EACH SIDE

4 The coolant flows through the block ON EACH SIDE towards the REAR and comes UP into BOTH heads through several ports in the block and heads.

5 The coolant GENERALLY flows through the block ON BOTH SIDES towards the REAR of the engine, and when the coolant flows UP into BOTH heads

6 It flows FORWARD inside the heads towards the front of the engine.

7 Coolant LEAVES BOTH heads and flows TOWARD THE CENTER of the front crossover passage and MERGES in the center, where it flows UP through the termostat, UP through the top hose, and back into the top of the radiator.

So to answer your left/ right question, which has become irrelevant, it flows from LEFT TO RIGHT on the passenger side, and RIGHT TO LEFT on the driver side, and MERGES in the center up through the thermostat.
