Anybody WTB a used dart/valiant??
http://wtaq.com/news/articles/2012/j...tion-underway/
Some water damage, they have not figured out how long this thing was in the water, license plates were from Minnesota, anyone recognise this car?? J/K personally I wouldn't want ANYTHING that spent any time in the Fox river, it probably glows in the dark....

Wow!! How far away from the bank is it 19' deep ?
If it was located at 19 feet deep there at the launch I bet they can find it in stolen car record's LMAO!!
Story told by memike All it took was a stop to go to the rest room and his Dads car was stolen, Told by the 17 year old son It could happen

Mike:
The fox river where they found the car actually has no bank it is more like a channel, at least in the downtown area, so it is 19 feet down right at the bank and more like 30 to 50 in the middle as we have huge coal ships that bring in coal for the power station and the paper mill. the weird part is there is nowhere for this car to go off other than off a bridge and you'd figure there would have been damage to the bridge, but no one ever reported that, it will be interesting to see how long that car was in the water, stay tuned....

X2 except up here (in WI) it will be the DNR giving the citation, more than likely that is why they are trying to find the owner... LOL

Kinda related, back in the early eighties, a Ram 4X4 pick-up was found in a reservoir after it had been drained.
They drained all the lubricates & cleaned the fuel system.
Started the truck, I read it in an article from a Mopar magazine for the mfg.
It was like a 1981-1983 D150
No word of how well it ran or what the outcome was.

Very observent of you Mike!!, they did take it out at the boat ramp AFTER they floated it up to the surface with some kind of ballon thing and they floated it down river almost 1 mile from where it resided in the river originally, to the Yacht club as that was the only place they could get a crane to pull it out of the water, my guess is they will take it to our local salvage yard and scap it but who knows......

funny how a car in a river is news in this day and age . I know places where there are still old cars and trucks rusting away in rivers and creeks. But I don't see any old abandoned cars hardly ever on the back roads anymore.seems they've all been hauled off for scrap metal...

I read the car was reported stolen in 1979. Someone jammed a tire iron on the accelerator and drove it off the dock. They located the owner, but unfortunately he died a couple years ago. The family requested the car be crushed.
